    I always secretly liked Krillin the best, he had this underdog vibe going for him, and I kept up hope that one day he'd have his day in the sun.

    But what ended up happening? Instead of finding his inner chi, realizing his potential and becoming one of the most powerful beings in the universe, he fell in love with a ****ing robot, married, and somehow had kids with it. (???)

    In the end he was just some tag-along loser the animators only kept around because they couldn't come up with a way to make death permanent because everytime someone died it was like, "OH LOOK, let's just wish them back with dragonballz. Trololol!"

    God damn it.

    I also liked krillin but then dbz abridged happened and he was ruined forever and mr popo became my favorite. Also...why didnt krillin use destructo disk every time? and maybe more than 1 at a time? He did get the ladies tho, so gg.

    The robot Krillin married was really a human but turned into half-human and half-robot, Goku was wondering how they had a kid as wellb:chuckle

    The REAL question is why didn't anyone use the blinding technique (Solar Flare?) and then went crazy with Destruct-o disc?

    Wow, so when Dr. Gero chopped up her body, he left her *** and ovaries intact, just in case she wanted to get cozy during her path to world domination. Never knew he was so considerate!

    Also, the hierarchy is Bleach=DBZ>all other animes>Sailor Moon.

    I think I read Bleach up to the big reveal that Aizen was an evil mastermind and then decided that it wasn't worth it for me to continue reading. It seems to have been the right choice.

    Bleach was strong all the way up to around the end of the aizen/hollow world arc. The story probably isn't the best, but with anime you have to take into account character creativity and aesthetic design qualities.

    In that sense, Bleach had some of the coolest/most memorable villains and heroes, as well as powers/abilities. It's definitely better than DBZ's ubiquitous HERP DERP I SHOOT BIG LASORZ OUTTA MY PENOR mentality.

    DBZ is legendary and was highly influential. Bleach wasn't bad, but it doesn't hold a candle to the creativity, influence, and popularity of the Dragon Ball series. Bleach was fairly generic battle manga. I mean it set out what it wanted to do well, and had a pretty good run. But I mean c'mon Bleach didn't even get to finish it's anime. There is no comparing them. :P

    I don't think you've been on HL server yet, there's literally an entire TW faction devoted to bleach, with multiple chars named different variants of Ulquiorra and Ichigo. When they triple spark, they yell out BANKAIII in vent b:surrender.

    Now we just need someone to make a dbz faction to rival bankaiGODS, have them duke it out in a legendary head to head TW, and settle this issue once and for all.

    I'm not going to deny it's much better than DBZ (it's not hard to better than DBZ tho). I did actually really like most of the characters. That reveal just killed it for me though for some reason.

    It's better only in the sense that it took what DBZ did and built upon that. DBZ was still one of the best and first "epic combat" animes to hit it big though, so if you took them in their own time periods they would both be epic, though DBZ had a better story and more believable characters.

    Magical girl genre though? I don't think that even survived the 90's, kinda like Ronin Warriors (probably the closest thing we could have to "Magical Boys", though no self respecting MAN who watched it would ever admit it).

    Magical boys...idk, that actually sounds sketchy now that I think about it.

    I still read the Bleach manga because it amuses me.

    Also the trolling on such massive levels Kubo does to people. It is wonderful.


    Speaking of manga, the Sailor Moon manga has them as friggin OP as hell. They can do stuff like ACCIDENTALLY jump into freakin ORBIT in the early chapters... and only get stronger from that point on. As someone I once had a discussion with puts it... you watch the anime version for the character development and read the manga version for the plot and power. DBZ is good but I prefer Kai because it kills the yelling for 90% of an episode while only fighting for 10% thing.

    Oh and when you look back over it, DBZ has tons of plot holes since Toriyama admitted he never worked on more than a chapter in advance since he originally meant it as a comedic parody of Journey to the West.

    Also DBZAbridged is win and good.

    Also magical girl stuff can be awesome. Go watch some madoka or such.

    As for Magical Boy genre.... that's essentially Power Rangers in a nutshell, isn't it? b:laugh

    ...HELL NO. The power rangers used actual technology in the form of giant robot zoids and advanced power suits. I'm pretty sure they used some sort of teleportation technology to beam the power suits onto their bodies. They only said "it's morphin time!" cause well, it makes them look cooler.

    As for Zordon, well, I'm pretty sure you can't preserve someone's head without some pretty fc'kn advanced technology as well.

    Zeo Crystals are magic. Dino coins? Magic. Ninja stuff? Awesome... but magic. Alien ranger stuff? Magic. Tommy's Green Ranger powers were explicitly magic too. Even Rita herself does the whole "MAGIC wand make my monster GROOOOOOOOOOOOW" thing. b:laugh

    Speaking of Zordon, what happened when he had Andros "kill" him at the end of In Space? He magically unleashed a wave of pure magical goodness that removed all evil in the Galaxy.

    Sure stuff like Nanoha has them using weapons, bullets, energy crystals, spaceship, and so on and so forth. Plenty of future technology and all that.... but I sure as hell can't honestly claim it's not magic involved in there too! That and asskicki-- befriending. Lots and lots of befriending. Sucks to be on the opposite end of her befriending...






    But if it makes you feel any better, sufficiently advanced technology is virtually indistinguishable from magic. So we can use that excuse when we feel like it too. b:chuckle
