Auto Cultivation Ends and sends to town for no reason

I'm an archer. I am currently using the auto recovery stone and hp pots, and am charmed as well. I set it on anywhere from 150 to 250 in range, open all items, and my attack skill has been 'master li's technique' > 'celestial eruption' > 'winged shell' > normal attack. Every 9000 seconds or so, I forgot the number I use, I set blazing arrow buff.

I'll come back after an hour or two of afk botting with auto cultivation and find my char back in town, and he hasn't died, hasn't run out of ammo, and certainly hasn't run out of mobs. There are a few other botters in the area (yes I could call them auto cultivators too, but I know one of them is using something different as he doesn't run to loot the same way everyone else does) but archers can shoot faster than other classes can run, so I get most of the kills, maybe 90% of them. So why does it keep ending auto cultivation and sending me to town?

I know some nights I can stay botting all night long and come back and I'm still at it, and haven't been sent to town. So what sends me to town randomly? Any ideas?
...A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the heavens come crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear in this world, I bid you stand, warriors of Pellucidar!

    Step 1:

Set up your bot and watch it work till it goes wrong so that you know WHAT goes wrong.

How do you think those that got it to work trough the night got it to do that ?

I was told, if bot can't find mobs it gets ported to the closest city

Things that cause you to town portal:

    1) Running out of time on your autoculti session
    2) Weapon endurance reaching 0
    3) Being in the 'patrol' state without combat for 60 seconds.

I don't see any other trigger.

Most common cause: Bot got stuck in terrain somewhere (in a group of rocks, behind a fence, something like that) and couldn't find any enemies to shoot for 60 seconds. A range of 150 is huge - personally I've found that 85 at most is needed. Make sure you scout the area you want to bot in - obstacles like rock patches, cliffs, buildings, fences... all a big nono for long-duration autoculti. Proximity to a boss or worldboss spawn also not recommended.

Wow, thanks for all the tips guys! As far as obstacles are concerned, that very well could be the case, I know there's a few but I didn't think they would be a problem. I'll work on that bit.

Nothing is broken when I get sent to town, so it's not that. And I have 9999 set on my timer, so it's not that either. One of these days when I have nothing better to do but sit in bed sick with a good book I'll set it up and watch it out of the corner of my eye I guess.

As far as distance goes, I use the console with d_testdist and I set it up to catch all the mobs in the area I wanted, but with some mobs, once you kill enough in a certain area, they all respawn in a sort of a line outside the area you're in, so annoying, but I'll see what I can do.

    Thanks again!

You probably already know but make sure you zoom in to a first-person view when doing that. That gives distance from the camera not the player.

    What gives distance ?
I did by trial, error and estimation. Would be nice to have land measuring equipment :p

It's by using the console. This thread has all the info, and the command is d_testdist.

In order to prevent weapon durability drain, I tried botting without a weapon equipped (method i used with earthquake+pet defend on my veno for cube room- Mice bashing), but this will not work with the auto-culti function. It starts the teleport process immediately, sending u back to room 1 if u dont stop it in time!
I think the game assumes your weapon broke & attempt to get u to safety, not knowing you simply want to 'tag' mobs/build chi, etc. So just as a warning, be careful when you dont have one equipped... I learned the hard way. b:surrender

I could have sworn magic attacks didn't drain weapon durability... was that changed?

Heals (including pet heals) don't drain weapon durability, magic attacks always have (though not as quickly as physical attacks.)
