New starting zone?

It says there is a new starting zone but I don't see any info on new classes. How can there be a new starting zone with no new classes?

    No new classes; the new area is for all classes/races, and is sort of a tutorial area. Most everything gained there disappears when you leave it, and there is no return.

    I cashed in all my tokens into fashion and sold it all before leaving the area and netted almost 100k in an hour there. But yes, rather a pointless start.

    I don't think it's pointless for new players. The problem is that we have hardly any new players nowadays.
    I made a new toon to try it out and if I was new to the game I would have enjoyed it. It shows some different aspects to the game (possible skills, possible flyers, mounts etc.) while you explore a pretty area.

    You can farm some sexy fliers there for 9.999 tokens that stay with you once you leave area. Sure, they are 1.5 m/s, but they are those sexy pack fliers.
    Also, cute chibi bear and cuddlesworth also stay with your after leaving area.

    The aqua metals can also be used to give you some buff pills that give you level 6 defense buffs for one hour. It's 50 of them in one bag and you can take them with you when you leave.

    ^ This. But even if you didn't have it, it would be pretty easy. The mobs die really quickly and since it's 2x drop several. Based on how close I am now and the number of metals I lost doing the quest chain and gambling.....I'd say it'd probably take a week or two assuming you did it for like 2 hours a day and were lazy about it. Long time to spend being that level for sure but not if you just really want those wings. I'd already have them after only a day of the "auto cultivation" (s/n: seriously PWI, that's what you're calling it?) if I hadn't wasted a bunch gambling and hadn't already bought both the buff pack and lord cuddlesworth.

    Probably the fastest way to gather aquametal would be to squad up with several friends, one being a seeker. The seeker sets up the starter zone vortex along the road south of the kissing bridge, and the rest pick drops and pull mobs into the vortex.
