Some people said it wasn't hard enough so I'm going to come up with new rules.

~Not Allowed~

No charms, hp,mp, or attack/defense.

No genies.

Only white/grey gears until level 100.

You're not allowed to accept money, mats, or gear from other players.

No refining of any gear.

You are not able to use any items given by your lvl 5-80 chest.

You're not allowed to use any buff pills.

You can't charge zhen for coins.

No hyper's, or x2 exp scrolls.

No Realm of Reflection.

You may not accept the gift's from the perfect quest master.

You can't accept help from players 10 levels higher than you for dungeons.

No tomes.

No auto healing, or auto mana potion function.

You are able to compete in the Nation Wars event if you desire, as an extra source of coins.

No dream chaser items or gear to help you.


I think I'm actually going to go to DW. I don't want to use a class with a pet, seems a little too easy as the pet would take all the damage.

May add some more rules, if you have any suggestions to make this harder, let me know!

    Does... this include help with quest bosses/FBs as well?

    Because if so... you're really shooting yourself in the foot when combined with your other restrictions and won't be able to do a lot until you've massively outleveled it.

    No, you can make squads with people. Just no helping with items.

    Well games done, about to get this show on the road. Just cannot decide whether I want to play on DW or RT since I'll be moving soon. I'm actually pretty excited to do this, will have to make my own FC squads so i don't get kicked, though xD

    Did this. Quests, Grinding, Oracles (Which are found under quests, and Hypered only in FC once I finally started running it.

    First full FC run was 80+. Bought heads once at 77 in excitement to learn the level 79 skills. (Didn't know I was supposed to buy hypers too, or where they were at that time. XD. )

    ...Didn't do that one. Got a lot of help when I needed it.

    It didn't even exist when I was low leveled. I was purely white, blue, and purple gear.

    ...Didn't do this. Was gifted gear by some good friends. :D

    (7.) You are allowed to refine your gear to a maximum of 3 to make up for lost stats. No higher.

    I didn't even know how to refine until 70's. And I have extreme difficulty even reaching +4. Lol.

    Still not sure which class would be good for this but was looking for something new :D

    Maybe an archer, or something that can cast/hit from a way's away to avoid getting hit a lot.

    Getting away with low gear, and things, a cleric can. However, you mentioned no help from others...so I'm going to recommend to you a veno or a mystic...in this case, a veno would probably suit you better, as their pets are tankier.

    So my order is...

    Veno (Has a heal type, has fox form for defense, has speed, has magical defense, versatile build, has a pet to aid them. Also master debuffer.

    Mystic: Can heal, has a pet to aid them, and pretty good dph. (Not fully reliant upon refines.)

    Cleric: Can heal, and kite. (Not reliant so much on refines.)

    Barbarian (High defense, speed, and vitality.)

    Blademaster (High defense in both magical and physical. Flexible, and can stun lock.)

    Seeker (High defense, but not as versatile as a bm.)

    Psychic (Has a heal, good dph and dps, and white voodoo will help make up for the defense loss. Should be noted that low refines means low soulforce though...which affects some of a psy's moves.

    Wizard (High dph, and can kite...plus has a shield.)

    Archer (Can kill and crit a lot at range...but low levels will give you issue. Doesn't do full damage up close with ranged weapons, and low crit at low levels mean you won't see big changes until 70's/80's.)

    Assassin. (Relies upon refines, and gear. Without it, they're very squishy. Even their bp heal is reliant upon damage done, and that relies upon refines...which may not be above +3...and no aps either with white/grey gear.)

    I'm on DW, so I vote DW. XD

    Just realized this was yesterday, and not today. XD Oh well. Maybe it'll help for the challenge at any rate. Lol.

    Did everything of that list in my first months of PWI. Well except from that gear thing. I used my first better gear at 60 (Ancient Arbor). xD Didnt know what Refines, FC or bhs were. Dreamchaser gear and hypers didnt exists and when i need help, i got some people to help me with FB and Culti Bosses. Were too scared of other people anyway with their shiny gear and TT80 Armor. I farmed my items without knowing anything of the ingame market. And by farmed i mean doing Quests and picking up the DQ Items that dropped. Mats like oils and fur i NPCd. I was so proud when i made my first million xD Ahh, good times xD

    Id also say make a Veno. Or BM or mystic, although its not so easy to solo heal in higher lvls without good gear. Psychics fine as well if you use free MP Charms or other pots. I wouldnt go for archer or sin if you dont buy good gear.

    Sounds a bit exhausting, but absolutely doable. :)

    Have fun with it.

    I would recomend a ---seeker.---

    High hp, can tank well, even if in crapish gear, and they can even hit at a distance... the biggest issue is their lack of crowd control skills, and they dont have many ways to get out of it... but genies can help with that, and so can apo... still not a bad class to play if you know what your doing. :$

    Sounds like the way it normally goes when you play your first toon.

    So while to us hasty people who want to be 100 in 2 days, it might seem like a challenge to actually play again like we did the first time, it is not really a challenge imo. Far from it actually.

    A challenge would be to forexample forbid yourself from statting any points in the characters main stat. Or to play to level 100 without dying even once. (but that doesnt really work if the mechanic isnt in the game like D2 hardcore mode) Or playing without any armor ever.

    So i would advise you either not to waste your time on any toon doing this or make a real challenge. One that will impress both us and yourself.
    Everything i write is from PvE perspective unless mentioned otherwise.

    I got all the way to lvl 45 without doing a single cultivation quest and was wearing strictly gear I picked up from mobs all that time. I had never even been to Archosaur.

    I didn't even craft my first TT60 weapon until I was lvl 73. This was actually my very first Internet game ever. I had no clue on how MMO games worked, not a clue in the world.

    Once I stood at a quest giver NPC, he said "Gather some friends to help you, it may be dangerous." I stood there for about 2 hours trying to get any of the 100 or so people to party with me for help and I was completely ignored. In hindsight, I would have ignored me too. I was taking the NPC literally, when in fact it was just a normal quest out in the world, nothing requiring any kind of help at all.

    I didn't FCC on this character until he was lvl 98 I think. I got zero help from anyone ever in game. Though I ran across someone while playing another game, who clued me in on the way things work in this game, that was around lvl 50 actually, I had given up at around lvl 40 because the game got very difficult ala, me not having my cultis and my skill that go along with them.

    This was all back when the game was still in its infancy.

    You got to lvl 100 in white gear? You didn't use tt gear or anything?

    I posted it in the OG post, but if you have any ideas to make it harder let me know :D Gonna create the toon on DW as soon as i find a name xD

    I wish there was some way to tell if you died. As there isn't then it wouldn't really matter if it was a rule or not. People could die all they want and it wouldn't show up. Got any other ideas for making it harder?

    Plus a person who leveled to 100 without ever dying would be stuck without access to.... the vast majority of their skills because one of the early spiritual cultivation quests requires you to die in order to complete it.

    Do you mean a thread? You have to of joined the forums for 3 days. This means when you select your avatar/character, you have to have a total of 3 days on the forum before you're able to make threads. If you have other questions pm a mod or me though, don't want this to get off topic too much.
