Having issues

I can't get the auto patcher to download keeps saying retry and i did about 30 times and so i try the Manuel patch for the first time it says corrupted so any suggestions to get it to work?

I'd like to play at some point today >.>

    what antivir / OS are you using?

    Maybe disable antivirus or firewall??

    try verifying the client through the launcher

    win 7 avast pro, never had problems on other expansions/ updates.....might as wll take a big ****

    I did the manual patch and that worked however I can't connect to the server

    edit:
    I had to allow arc and PWI through my firewall (I never had to do that previously unsure why I had to do it now).

    i cant even update the client version and i dont see the manual pach as well i have already like 8 hours waiting for this and nothing lol b:cryb:cry

    I've only just got home from Christmas shopping so only now trying to update. The patcher wouldn't do it, so I'm doing the manual patch which can be found in the second post of http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1652991

    I don't have a antivirus on this laptop. But its old Dell with windows xp i need a new one LOL don't think i had issus with firewalls but can turn it off for now and see.

    it updated a little bit but back to that retry ****.

    i began this at 5am cali time (west coast) and its now 12:15 pm and so its been 7 hrs and still not doing much wth. D: ive never had issues like this or if i did was never this long >.<

    I don't have arc dl i hope that's not it. I don't plan to DL it til i need it

    it wont even give me the option to download wtf is up with this ? i have the new start up screen it says its unable to download

    it wont even let me verfy my client version

    It took me longer to download the patch then to download the original game years ago. I figured it would install no problems...it has been installing for well over an hour now...closer to two. What is up with this?!

    Auto-patching is pretty much always a fail when it's a decently sized patch.

    Rule of thumb, if the patch is more than 30MB, go manual.

    Lol thats the irony. I spent almost two hours downloading the manual patch and am now spending the same amount of time installing.

    4. Install manual patch.

    5. Restore AV scan.

    6. Reboot.

    If it's an especially large patch, I may verify a couple of times with the AV disabled and reboot again.

    I was suffering the same things with the "restarts & corrupts bits" while trying to update on my vista comp

    ~And so I decided to try and do it after I deactivated my 'firewall & viral programs' on the 'auto update mode' but to 'no avail' it still did the same ****~

    ~So the next thing that I chose to do was 'right click on the shortcut' and run it as an administrator the next time and Wallaa! It went through without a hitch and started on downloading it finally 'I hope that helps some of you with it who're still suffering from the reset Bs that its still giving alot of people...b:thanks


    PS: I ran the game as both in 'admin & general user modes' while my firewall & securities programs were both down and then yet again when i brought them both back up again to protect my computer and the game ran like a champ afterwards... So it gave me no more probs at all, after the download finally went through unabated and completed...b:victory

    Make sure. Because I see a lot of people say that, then they send me their Speccy report, and it shows that they have at least one running.

    Yeah i looked in add/remove stuff and none. I uninstalled the game.

    Gonna have to see if Arc will finally work and redl it. D:
