No freebie upon expansion launch?

Hello all,

I am a bit surprised that PWE doesn't offer any freebie for this expansion, something we got used to get.
I believe that it is due to the dragon orb mess we recently had to deal with. It's a bit sad, actually.

Ah well, I just hope we will get good new features, though I got a bad hunch about it.
Only time will tell I guess!

    We get events at launch, apparently.

    The blog announcing the launch date also stated we'd get more information news posts before launch... and it's being launched tomorrow, so they can't even write news posts, unless they plan to cram the rest of the info into 1 big heap of text

    What freebie you talking about ? did the expansion release already? guess not be patient and wait. all freebies that you got even before was not discuss earlier during the transit it was given on the spot i think. correct if im wrong im always willing to accept my mistake.

    I took the 18th and 19th off (vacation starts on the 20th). But my worry is how long the patch will take. I remember the expansion when Tideborn was out - the patch was severely delayed and I took that day off for nothing essentially.

    For me, the first thing I do is explore but yeah - I miss alot of the events that way too.. so this time, I'm logging the forum to see what's what.

    Well since tomorrow is Wednesday and expansion Im sure we wont be able to log all day, or wont be able to see our toons, or servers will crash or something else will happen as always so you will have all day to read about it b:pleased

    Hmm, I guess that I wasn't clear enough...

    I was talking about an item or a pack to redeem before launch day via the website, like the black egg, the swag bag, the marmot something and so on.

    And yes, I feel that it will be a log-in and patching mess again, like for all expansions :P

    Like I said, we get in-game events at launch, which are for the launch.
    I'm guessing that's the "freebie" stuff we will get, whatever the quest rewards will be, granted they arent broken

    Wow you can still recall Tideborn patch? So you dont have issue for EG patch/update?

    Nah, the items were always proposed before the launch of the expansion and delivered when it is officially on (or rather a few days after, since it's always difficult for PWE to bring them in time for the whole community).

    Yes, they always sent out items with a special webpage, I know.
    I'm just guessing we should consider those special in-game events as a replacement for it, whatever the rewards of those quests may be.

    Given that they were zen (what a silly name they found) charge rewards, it's quite unlikely.
    I see all of the people on the facebook page asking for new ones and I shake my head.
