Why are the servers down?

The status page says it is all. I thought it was my client but alas they are all unreachable.

    They are carrying out maintenance right now. Servers are due back up in about 1 hour.

    This is weekly maintance night, it was said in a sticky on the front of the general discussion. Plz read before adding useless threads bout something that has the answer in front of you.
