Cleric can't complete Mulberry Heart Quest

My cleric seems to be precluded from finishing the Mulberry Heart quest.

During crystal recharging, he misses with every attack. When he goes as part of a group, with someone else doing the attacking, everyone else in the squad gets credit for completing the task but my cleric does not.

Other clerics in my guild tell me that they see the same problem. No other classes experience the same.

    How can a cleric "miss" an attack? Are you wacking it with the weapon? Clerics don't have enough accuracy for that. You should use fast spells like plume shot and whirlwind which have a 0% chance to miss.

    That's your upper lip you're smelling. I have a legitimate problem.

    I tried using magic attacks first but that failed as well. I went physical because it worked for my other toons. I realized his accuracy would suck but every attack? Is that to be expected? I don't use physical attack (obviously) in a fight but I assumed it had SOME efficacy.

    Have any of you seen this with a cleric?

    This would appear to be a problem only for Archosaur clerics then. My wife did her quest just fine yesterday on Dreamweaver.

    Magic attacks should work. At least on my mystic I only use NV to hit those balls
    And never heard about any cleric friend/guildmate having problems with that quest on Morai server as well

    My clerics both completed it with no problems using cyclone and plume shot. Maybe you should screenshot failed magic attacks and submit a ticket, because it shouldn't be doing that.

    Clerics also can't glitch accuracy with p.def. debuff like barbs. :(

    Anyway, plume shot, cyclone and elven boon all work wonders on those balls, and the OP should have more than enough time to cast them.

    My cleric does it easily, Ross, must be something weird on your end. I just rotate plume shot and cyclone and all goes well.

    It is indeed odd. The stranger part is that my cleric has no alternative. For a while, I overcame the lack of success by tagging along with a group. Only one has to do the recharge for the whole squad.

    Except now, that fails too ..... but only for him. And it fails every time.

    I'll have to do some sleuthing to see if he is in some odd state. His quest list isn't full. His inventory isn't full. He's in squad and within range. He's taken the quest and is fully eligible to be in SoT and receive the outcome.

    I'll try some off-the-wall fixes. I'll trash that quest and pick it up fresh. I'll go to Aba instead of SoT. I'll have him try it without the group again. I'll make him fight in his skivvies. I'll make him do his dance first ..... but not in his skivvies.

    If I find anything interesting, I'll share.
