    24hr Black Friday, 24 hrs Cyber monday sales are being anticipated by many this year.

    As well as Christmas sales starting first week of December.

    Years past, these were the best sales, best prices, best items.

    If anyone has some screen shots of the previous sales. post them up. Help the new CM understand what the community is anticipating.

    18gold for 100 packs. 1 star orbs at 5sp each. 10 star orbs 5 for 50 gold. Dragon fire packs @ 1 gold 7silver <these are off the to of my head>


    I, as well as many, look forward, with high hopes, that this years sales will be the best ever !!

    I promised myself I wouldn't spend anymore money on PWI, but even I would actually open my wallet up and spend a little for those prices. b:surrender

    It's not so much on the CM as it is marketing.

    Granted, our CMs can attempt to persuade marketing towards various decisions (IE: Val convincing them to put new fashion directly for sale instead of LOL ALL FASH IN PACKS NOW) but at the end of the day, it's out of the CM's hands for what the final items, and prices, will be.

    Then marketing is new and or doing a **** poor job. any real company has all the different departments in constant communication. its like you all operate in the dark from each other and do zero research on how things are run. Is a self lobotomy a requirement for employment there? b:chuckle

    That... I cannot deny... at all. lol

    And considering how the execs seem to treat the employees when it comes to work load, who knows?

    The new Packs are 88 gold for a reason. They have the lowest odds of getting luck tokens of any packs ever released. You have a 9% chance of getting something besides the 15 luck tokens. This compared to the 3% of packs like Tigers, Corals etc. Do some research first.

    As for 1*-5* orbs, they have always been on sale for that price. It's nothing new. Anyone who wants cheap orbs knows to wait for Dragon Fire Packs to go on sale.

    Keep in mind that PWI is not required to put Oceans on sale in the boutique. They could choose not to, and then the cost of refining would skyrocket. While I am not quite pleased with the new price, it's better than 50 gold. Also keep in mind that Cyber Monday is coming up. Don't be surprised if the price is lowered to 25 gold each, with a 5 for 100 special.

    Based on my spreadsheet records, there had been several types of orbs sales in the past that had been a lot cheaper.

    10x 1-star orbs for 0.90 gold (happened about 2 years ago)
    10x 1-star orbs for 0.45 gold (happened about 3 years ago - this was the sale that they placed the 11* and 12* orbs on sale)

    Only the last 2 years, it has been 10x 1-star orbs for 1.35 gold.

    That's two years ago. In this industry, that is a long time. In addition, 10 1* for .9 gold is still about 160k per 1* orb at gold prices on DW. Those same orbs can be had for 100k or less during a DF pack sale. Something that occurred 3 years, and at least as many major expansions ago does not apply to the current game. Three years ago, gold was 200k coins on dreamweaver. Now it's 1.8 mil.

    200k per gold 3 yrs ago? Don't you mean that was when it was like 4-5 yrs ago...the summer of 2009 before the anniv. packs arrived.

    People don't care how expensive packs are, they care about what they can get from it. Despite being expensive, people are getting a lot of DoDs off of these packs. I know this sounds like propaganda or something, but I am hearing multiple faction mates getting items when before, I hear people talking about how they get screwed by packs.

    I am just going to open a few from the profit I make from selling it and see for myself...and yes, people are buying it.

    On another note, if it were only these items on high prices, gold would just go low. PWI has been latching really cheap items with expensive ones to keep gold high despite other items (ie: Oceans) not having the in-game market value as its gold price. It's annoying for both cash shoppers and non-cash shoppers. Nobody wants to pay 35 bucks for Oceans, I hope PWI realizes that.

    We've had so many R9 sales already too.

    I recall that gold didn't move worth a ****ing **** when it was 200k. I tried buying some gold through AH, and my buy order sat in the AH for like 3 months before I just deleted it.

    Well considering buy orders don't even last that long to begin with....

    Even if they did, I'd wonder what you were doing. I've never had issues buying gold in the AH even back in 08. And by the time we had things like the Jolly Jones for GA events and such, gold was moving rather well and it was incredibly easy to make massive profits.
