It's very simple, rollback servers until the code was published (but do it fast before it gets worse) and just add the rewards in an in-game quest that can be only taken once and remove it on Sunday when the code was supposed to expire. Hell you dont even need a new NPC, use the Aurora Agent for example xD

    theres been a lot suggestions of this kind in the official compensation thread;
    however, i vouch for a rollback for all servers but archo (according to what some1 posted, archo ppl oppose another rollback)

    either way, this was mainly meant as a compensation for the archo rollback, on other servers we just had the usual "problems"

    regarding the reward itself, why would some1 who got a toon on archo and qqed about losing stuff THERE redeem it on an other server in the first place?

    if other servers were rolled back it would be the fairest solution for every1, just imo, for reasons like pwi losing a shi.tload of money when theres so many ppl who got their full gear to +10 and higher thx to this w/o spending money for it

    i personally say if some unlucky ppl cant even rightfully redeem their one reward, let other not take advantage of that at the same time.
    i rather dont get anything at all and a rollback than this

    indeed it's "very simple" if you're a 3rd world IT n00b

    there has to be such a thing called "backup" if you wanna do any kind of rollback - and i'm almost sure they do only a weekly backup during the maintenance or on friday

    It's about 10.45pm at server location atm.
    The only guy which is still in the office is probably a 500-dollar-jobber which has only the order to monitor the green light of the server diode. Maybe he even doesn't know what to do when the red light appears.

    If there would be only a single competent person in the office he/she would have recocnized that issue and turned off the servers a few seconds later.

    It wasn't very smart to release a code which can be abused so easily.
    It wasn't very smart to release it before everyone starts to leave the office.

    They just 1-shooted the game. Well.. it had no full hp anymore anyway.
