Is Perfect world International allowd to come out with original content not taken form the Chinese servers? I've always wondered what kind of relationship PWI had with the Original game in China. Can anyone answer? b:thanks

    PWE (the company hosting PWI) is a wholly owned subsidiary (as far as I'm aware) of Wanmei (the Chinese company that produces Perfect World.) All new content comes from China; the most PWE staff can do is request changes for our version.

    We get our content strictly from China. We have had, however, stuff done exclusively for our version by the Chinese devs ( nirvy 3rd cast, hypers in FC are the ones that pop into mind).
    As I think I read about it some time ago, the only version of Pw that makes changes on its own is the Japanese version, since they bought the rights to do so or something along those lines.

    This is mostly correct. I think PWE is their own entity now, and the only ties to Wanmei is that they basically lease the game from them.

    there is no such thing as "pwi cn" and our gm have stated they asked communicated with cn to make the content a bit different for r9 recasts simply due to the different ways to get the gear in the versions
