    No. we've been excluded. I seem to recall something about being too heavy on R9... but don't quote me on it.

    Our gear is different and more OP than theirs so it imbalances it.

    im 99% sure they had custom gear last time.
    and our glorious oh so elite LC team (which only got the tickets cause they restated a cleric to 4 aps and killed harpy wraith 7 seconds faster than HLs team) failed badly. and PWE suddenly completely put the mantle of secrecy over the entire case.

    They had custom gear last time, people QQed cause it didn't have aps, while they had built their squad to aps harpy wraith as quick as possible.

    But anyway, doesn't matter. China would just kick some pwi butts again. lol

    If they aren't going to do it right it shouldn't be done at all.
    The last time they attempted it was a total embarrassment how botched it was. Ever other version was able to setup a separate server with standardized gear and had an actual tournament that tested PVP ability. PWI just sent a bunch of APS toons that totally failed at everything except killing Harpy quick.

    Actually the Lost City "team" did not only get kicked by the cn team. They lost versus ALL other teams in every single battle during the contest. Every kind of team battle, every 1 vs 1. Their excuse: they didn't know that the caster weapons have purify/speed (remember the QQ thread of the loser veno? lolz).

    I suppose it's not very attactive for pwe to let people of their severs join those contests:

    1st: it's costly.

    2nd: people which play a game like this 20h per day (like the lc team) to kill lowbies/lower geared characters for higher rankings are not very photogenic (and that's understated). They couln't use pictures of them for marketing on their homepage because it would have scared off new customers.

    3rd: I suppose no other pw version is as costly as ours. How would they have to introduce a pwe team to the other teams? "And here comes the most stupid CSer team which spent 10k dollars to win a flight for 500 dollars to china, congratulations"?.
    People like cheze can only have fanboys on servers like pwe servers. Simple fanboys which dream about getting impregnated by this extreme-CSer dude.

    i thought only my EU server is full of monkeys that hate on everyone that is more successfull, giving the most stupid excuses and reasons ever, just to justify their jealousy. but it seems that problem is universal.

    This was before purify proc was on any weapons outside of the guild base one. They were given a basic full normal r9 set. r9rr wasn't even created yet. Also, aps didn't really matter since, iirc, their sin was a sage dph sin anyway.

    HL team still should've gone instead of LC one though. lbr.

    The contest that our team was selected with bore very little in common with the contest they had at the real PWIC.

    Did not know that. I was under the impression they just got a r9 set and the proper orns/cape/helm.

    The top faction per server was selected via PvP tournament, but then the top faction cross-server was determined by a timed boss fight, because PWE was too incompetent to set up a separate server for this.

    Okay, okay... everyone here is dancing around the reason that certain people from LC were picked. Now it's up to old Skog to have to post this for a record of what happened.

    PWIC (Perfect World International Championship) was formed so each version of PW could come together and battle against other versions.

    I won't list names of the ones chosen to fight on behalf of PWI (could be considered n&s violation).
    While there was a contest on each server to see who the fastest at killing the Harpy Wraith, other factors were also in play for determining who would represent us.

    Now I won't name the former CM or GMs who worked at the PWE offices in California, there were a couple of people who were personal friends of a few people who just happened to make the cut to go to PWIC.

    It also didn't hurt that most of the people were heavy (really heavy) cash shoppers (not that there is anything wrong with CSers... I'm just amazed at the amount some people put into something that you don't own. smh)

    Countdown to someone asking for proof. 3...2...1...
    I don't have hard evidence. All I have is personal conversations with a few involved and several questionable PMs between myself and an employee. (also a two week vacation from the forum and game when I posted part of the PM from said employee on the forum. It got scrubbed and I had a PWI vacation.)

    TBH, I'm sort of glad we are no longer in the PWIC. On our version, it become less of a PvP battle and more of a tallywhacker contest... and unfortunately we got the "short end of the stick" so to speak.

    No, it is in the past and what's done is done. I only wanted to post this so the truth is remembered and not something quietly forgotten.

    Ha Ha I remember that time. I remember too LC server lording it over the rest of us about how by killing Harpy the fastest, their "PVP server" was better at even PVE than the rest of us care bears. Of course the rest of us then had the pleasure of witnessing our b:spit number one PVP server look like the CSing noobs they were after getting slaughtered by rest of the world in that tournament.
