    Raging Tides server is currently suffering massive lag spikes. EVERYONE is talking about it and its really bad. I personally average under 200 ping normally and im at over 10k. PWI needs to do maint like now its that bad. Currently im going between 10k-13k ping. Please do something pwi

      IT'S NOT JUST... I WAS DOING TIGER EVENT AND SERVER GOT A MASSIVE LAG !! WHEN THE EVENT END I WAS FREEZEN NEAR THE MAIBOX FOR 10 MINUTS !! AND I DIDN'T GET MY REWARD. IT'S NOT JUST !! THE STUPID SERVER " RAGINNG TIDES " IS RLY LAG.

      There is a reason for Raging tides being known affectionately as Trolling Tides.

      I haven't been, simply because it really does appear to be an issue on the server end this time.

      I know AT&T had some major router outages last week, but my traceroutes are showing as excellent, right up to the servers. Based on the data I'm seeing, it appears to be an issue on their end. I'm currently chalking it up to another part of the plethora of errors that have followed the DST maintenance.

      Yup, that's Raging Tides all right.

      I haven't had any lag on my end though. Probably because I take steps on my end to help avoid lag as much as I can. The extra bandwidth helps too. f:fan

      +1 for this on RT... Normal pings 400ms or less... for the last week or so the average has been closer to 800ms and ping spikes of over 10s entirely randomnly... Almost impossible to run instances with lag like this... AND yes, I can confirm that at least 4 of the people (from various places around the world) I regularly play with are all having the same problem. BTW - just looking at the ping time on the server selection screen is rubbish.. sometimes it says 250ms, but a moment after login it climbs to over 1s...

      Had my ISP do tests and routes from their various links to the East Coast and they were able to establish that there is nothing wrong (200ms pings and no loss) getting to the East Coast.

      Problems only seem to be evident when the packets hit the PWI IPs (east coast servers or a hop thereabouts). Then the pings timeout or lag big time.. Could obviously be firewalls dropping pings etc but all is not well in PWI East Coast world.

      Tip: Server lag is when you're moving all hunky dory and at normal rate but everything else around you remains still. Then suddenly everything moves.

      If you're at your mailbox and you, yourself, can't move. That's not server lag. That's frame rate lag and if that's the case you should lower your settings/update your graphics card drivers/software/etc

      btw part of the lag spikes hits arch to. My net was nice to me today and yet still randomly hit 13k ping spikes.

      I hadn't noticed any issues at all on Arch pre-maintenance, but I'm now getting massive spikes all over the place.
