Hey I have some questions about venos pets what happens if you don't feed your pet I been looking at forums for an hour and can't find what happens do they die and dissapear or just get weaker I don't know. And can a veno be hard to hold on to money are you always gonna be out when you need it? And about mystics how good can their pets be compared to a venos I only ask cuz I want to make either of these but don't know how they excellent in comparison to each other any information about this would be a huge help thanks guys

They just become weaker (less % of attack power) and gain less EXP than normal (less % of EXP gain).
I don't remember the minimum numbers but I know max attack is 120% and max EXP is 150%.

If you don't feed your summoned pet every 5 minutes (and don't have a tome equipped) the pet gets hungry, and the loyalty drops. The hungrier the pet gets the faster loyalty drops. Eventually the pet reaches savage loyalty and won't gain more than 1 XP per kill.

Venos are actually good at conserving money, because the repairs are generally low, as is potion consumption.

Mystic summons are generally harder hitting than veno battle pets, but fragiler. A mystic is far more likely to tank the opponent herself (healing him/herself with summons providing some extra DD) where a veno (pre-end game) is more likely to have the pet tank the opponent, DDing as she can and healing the pet.

    Hunger and loyalty level figures

Depends on what you're aiming for. Pets kill slow, so generally a mystic will kill more stuff than a veno will in the same space of time. However, the mystic must be much better geared than the veno in general, and will use a lot more mana food and have higher repairs.

Why must a mystic be better geared than a veno? And what do you mean depends on what I'm aiming for?

Asking about mystics in the veno section is not a good idea, venos are not really mystics lover.

Mystics and venos are different, veno use pets to fight at his place as a tank while mystic use the summons to assist them in the damage or for other things (summons can be sacrifice for more damage or defense)

But ye if you want info about mystic you should check on the mystic's forum.

Because a veno can usually arrange not to be hit often (by letting the pet hold aggro and tank the damage) they can usually afford to have sub-par armor. A mystic's summons, on the other hand, is killed far more easily and does not hold aggro as well (especially when their mana pool is empty, refilling of which is a further drain on the mystic's limited mana pool.) For this reason, while a mystic can go the veno route and let the pet kill the target, it is far more likely that the mystic will be the target's target and take damage (especially on tougher targets that would easily kill the summons if it were allowed to hold aggro) so needs better armor to survive.

What are you aiming for? How do you want to play your character? Play styles for veno and mystic are very different, despite the superficial resemblances they share.

Ah I see thanks for all of the information guys I know the mystics summons are very fragile I guess I wanted to know how they stacked up to the veno pets but I guess I never really figured out which one would suit my play style I wanna be good for squads but solo myself if I need to without using super amounts of coin but they sound really close to me they both seem like great classes tho

Well for the solo part the questions is:

Do you prefer stand behind a pet healing the pet and when you can debuff and DD the boss or you prefer to tank the boss and you heal yourself and the summon can help with DD or defense.

And as Mafly said it's way faster to solo things on mystic than veno.

Both veno and mystic are good for squad, they are just taken for different role, mystic can be take as healer or DD or both while the veno is taken for his debuff.

They are both fun to play, but they are really different, a lot of people think they veno and mystic are really similar while they are totally different.

Good luck with the decision. =)

The first thing I did was farm enough coinage to get a cheap tome. That really helped me out.

I managed get to this level without dying too often, except when I made stupid mistakes with my pet. I've really done well with not having alot of repair costs, and my gear was really terrible!

I put my coins into my pet skills (leveling them) and crafting.

I think a Venomancer is a born soloer and the pets really bring alot to this class. My Cleric however, is squishy and my Veno has to do bosses for them. I've put alot more into my Cleric also because of mana pots needed and I did more for their gear so they could solo.

Since I do enjoy both venos and mystics, I'll provide a bit of info for you.

    Veno:
    1. Cheapest class to play
    2. Can afford to use lower lvl gear, to conserve money, etc.
    3. Pets are better tanks, but not as good DD's as mystic summons can be (the exception being the legenerdary DD pets, such as Nix and Monkey King)
    4. Venomancer's damage is...by themelves, the lowest of the casters, but when you take pets into account, especially DD pets, the damage does add up.
    5. Veno has some widely sought after debuffs.

    Mystic:
    1. Fairly expensive to play, but it has gotten better with all the free charms going around. Between free charms until 60 from Harbinger of Fortune Woyn, Perfect Questmaster, Supply Stash, Dreamchaser packs (if you have one) and Lochmur quests (a few do give charms).
    2. Mystics need to have fairly up to date gear, for two reasons. They end up tanking a lot more than their summons, and their summons stats gain bonuses from mystic's gear, and skill lvl of summon, and character lvl (However, the evolved forms of veno's legendary pets do gain stat bonuses based on veno's stats as well, but that's at lvl 100+)
    3. At early levels, the chihyu can tank most mini-bosses the mystic will have to face, but eventually, it just becomes an extra DD. They aren't designed to be tanks at all, no agro skills, not a ton of survivability, but they can tank a few things. Mystic's summons are much more designed to be situational, based on their skills.
    4. With all the self buffs mystics have available to them, what with lucky break, rapid growth, and leeching summons, they can dish out a **** ton of damage. Your medium refined casters with g16, run around with about 17k matk or so. With self buffs, mystics can temporarily reach those numbers, and higher at earlier lvls.
    5. Mystic does have a wide arsenal of debuffs, however, they aren't sought after, because they're weaker than other debuffs of the same variety. They can put more debuffs on at once, but each of those said debuffs is weaker than the same form of debuff from any other class.
    6. Mystic doesn't exactly have pets, in that they aren't stored in the pet bag like veno's. They're summoned via 4 different skills. So often times, they're referred to as summons rather than pets.

Sorry for that wall of text.

To be fair, not every venomancer pet is a tank.
It depends on what kind of pet you have.

There are several pets that cannot tank well but are more DD oriented, such as the Derjan's Hatchling and the legendary pet Harpy. Other pets are designed towards tanking; their damage is lower but they have great defences and good HP. Then you have pets that specialize in other things such as pulling or range tanking (cacti pets, eldergoths, harpy etc.).

Now, if you consider endgame you have to include the evolution which make pets considerably better as they get affected by the user's stats like summons and gain more skills. They also gain more attack, defence, hp etc. (seeing as you mentioned some endgame bits).

I'd be actually curious to see the damage comparison of Mystic summons with evolved pets :o but pre-evolution summons win I believe.

Oh yeah, pre-evolution, mystic summons beat out most veno pets in DD. But there are some, mostly the legendaries, that definitely after evolution, take the cake.
