Addicted to pwi?

To me it seeems like the new attendance system rewards people who have a gaming addiction, and nudges those who have not to develop one. I do not think i like it. I am certain others have different views on this than me, but a game is for fun, it is not school, it is not work, it is not mandatory. Yes, I can choose not to get any rewards, and tbh I think I might just do that.

I hear there is supposed to be annual rewards too? 12 months a year, you are not supposed to stay out of game more than 4 days a month. No vacation from pwi huh? Not even school / work is that harsh, unless you work under very poor conditions / as a slave.

    If I remember right, couldn't you also do an event that rewards you with absent notes to make up for missing days?

    No one's getting an annual reward this year, the thing wasn't introduced in time. That means it wont be until January 2015 that anyone gets any kind of annual reward - if the game is still around then. I don't know too many people that play actively every day anyway. I'm sure there are - but most people I've played with in the past - myself included have taken breaks of a few months at a time. Holidays, school starting back up, etc.. I'm sure that the annual reward will go only to those that spend the majority of their time in pwi. what events even give the absentee notes? personally, I miss most events due to my work schedule. I don't plan to get any annual rewards, might not even get many monthly ones.

    Rewards those with a gaming addiction? Okay Dr. Phail, your internet Ph.D in psychology is now revoked.

    You can afk all day and only be there at two points in a day more than 1 hour apart (once before school, again after) to pick up the reward. That doesn't encourage addiction, that encourages, if anything, wasting electricity/computer resources idling in the game. Surely one can fulfill many of life's other addictions while their pixel toon sits there some arbitrary amount of time.
