Don't need that much coin for a cleric lol

run lots of warsong (very easy to do as a cleric; just keep BBing) and sell badges n reroll service.

    Do NW

    BHs: Average reward value 800k duration 20-30minutes. 1.6 - 2.4m per hour.

Cube up to lvl 60 with Luminance to make 2 cogs in 1 and a half run: reward value 3.5m investment 1.5m. Duration 1.5 hours. (you will have to wait in the cube until you can trade cog) 1.33m per hour.

Warsong with good squad: Molds+badges+genie cubes+eoo. Averages at least 2m. Duration 45m - 1:30 hours. 1.33 - 2.66 m/hour. Not much is required from a cleric to get into mobless squads so you can do them in 45 minutes. You want to be able to solo defend fire which looking at how clerics do, requires something like a G16+4 weapon.

This new instance with yelling to the sky. I must admit i havent done it yet. But from what i gather, once people are experienced it should be a half hour instance. rewards 4 pages worth 400k each. (value likely to drop though once more people start to run this)

    DW = Dont Worry.
NW = nation wars. Every friday and sunday night.

Dont be cheap and think you should not do things because of MP food. As i just point out, many activities can pay about 2m per hour. Dont even think twice about buying the MP food you need, and dont be skimpy on using it.
Everything i write is from PvE perspective unless mentioned otherwise.

My deep seated hatred for G16 +10 saph gem wep +10 G16 AA armor cleric that says he can't solo fire. I've done it with pieces of TT90/R6 still on, and G15 +5 bow

    Show your Cleric this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qF-RYzQjmTg
Actually, you can do it with a R6 weapon, as well, not using level 100 skills (I tried that after having recorded this video). :P

@ewingoil: All the above mentioned things are for high level players, while you are asking for mid level options, so here they are:

    21-80

    - Doing Jolly Old Jones Quests (they are located at the starter areas of the various races)
this is probably the most efficient way to make money at your level.

    - Farming Hay (~ lv. 40 to avoid too low drop rates)/Fruit (~ lv. 60) /Fungus (~lv. 80) (which can be sold for a good amount for pet slot expansion)
While you are at it, you can try selling lower level Dragon Quest materials (for bank expansion) to players.

    30+

Celestial Tiger Event at 9:00 PM every Monday (server time)
With the new change, you might be able to make enough points for a neat reward.

Lucid Gold Envoy Daily Quest from 9 - 10 pm. If you are lucky, you can make a lot of money with it (however, the chances are very low - I've got only wortless stuff yet)

    60+

    - [Already mentioned] Nation wars. You can gain at least some supply tokens for this, which can be exchanged for popular mats, as Uncanny Crystals.

    - Farming Twilight Temple (TT) with a squad. It might be very hard to find a squad for doing this on a regular basis, though.

    Any Level -
Merching: Buy low, sell higher, find your niche and your money may raise steadily.
An almost trustworthy start would be the Mirage Celestone or Crazy Stone market, though competitive.

That's all I can think of atm. Good luck!
    World is full of illusions.

Clerics are people too and need coin b:cry It is statements like this that trick other clerics into running around in the worst gear possible, believing they can get away with the perceived "minimum" requirements.

To the OP, Fryvorg has touched on most of the easier ways of making coin that don't require being 100+ of having godly gear.

OP speaks of mid level gear, I have no idea what that means. It could mean lvl 50 gear. It could mean G16 as it is the medium between the high level R9.3 and the crappy level morai gear.

Anyway, some more advise for your financial wellbeing in the game:

Coins make coins. So you want to invest them to make more. Do not have coins sitting around in all kinds of stuff that you may or may not use somewhere in the coming year. It is no good having your bank full of stuff just sitting there. Sell them all, even if you think there is a proper chance you will need them in the future.

Investing money can be both in merchanting or in your character. A character that can do all those 2m per hour things comfortable will probably cost you something like 30m worth of skills and 150m worth of equipment or so. (half G16 half morai is very well sufficient) Lets say 200m total. If you play 3 hours per day to make 6m, you could consider these 200m in your character an investment that has a return on investment of 3% per day. So you dont need to think of merchanting as investing and character building as pure expense. Both can be investments. Stuff sitting in your bank is a waste though.

but they can...people baby them so hard it's not funny. I had a +10 G16 glaive +7-10 G16 armor cleric with a saph gem and -chan stone in wep tell me he needs someone to hold head for fire

Meanwhile I hop onto a G15 +5 cleric and faceroll fire while trying to not fall asleep

And this is why people like me end up soloing things so we don't have to put up with people that need their hands held. But unfortunately old players and ones that know how to actually play like you and I are becoming a rare breed.

As a cleric I've done it with my R8/Leg gear that's merely +3 and sharded with immac citrines. I also manage to be able to hop out, rebuff someone, and then come back in and keep killing mobs.

The largest failure of most clerics these days is not having a clue about how to actually play a cleric. You will only catch me BB'ing if it's absolutely necessary, or if I'm bored and reading. The rest of the time I'm healing, sealing, and killing. It's even possible to go into VD and still support he squad, but you need to have skill with playing your class, and how the rest of your team works together.

The Jolly Jones quests are the most money making and easy thing for any character between 21-80.

I am keeping a toon at 80 for good just to be able to do these and make the coin.

From lvl 71-80 you make the biggest chunk of change. Just for picking up the quest giving you 7 tabs to do these quests gives you something like 178,000 coins. Just for talking to the npc!!! Now that is lazy easy money.

Then, for every one of those 7 quests in which the hardest one is killing 10 mobs in your level range, you get another 88,000 coins. (That is for each one!!)
This is every day for lvl 71-80. Lower levels still receive the coin but at a lesser rate.

The good thing is you can pick these quests up every day and bank the 7 tabs a day and then when you hit lvl 71 you can just pump out these quests one right after another.

If you have say 200 of these tabs saved up when you hit lvl 71, you can get 200 quests X 88,000 coin, which is= 17,600,000 coins. (Yes that is millions!)

Then, to continue on each day with 178,000 coins for picking up the 7 quest tabs and then do all 7quests for 88,000 coin each = 794,000 coin per day.

If you take 794,000 coin per day X 30 days in a month roughly, that is 23,820,000 coins in a month just for doing this little 7 quests which take very little time to do.

There are the other options of course that others have mentioned, but for the ease of it all, the Jolly Jones quests you can solo so don't need a squad and the cooperation of others, and... you don't need to have any kind of special gear what so ever. All you need is the ability to kill mobs in your own level range.

    Hope this helps.

I almost forgot, on top of all that above, if you want to keep a toon at lvl 80, just keep putting the experience on a genie. You may end up making several different genies that have good lucky points and you can then sell those and make some good coins selling genies as well. All it takes to make a new genie is to go to the watchmaker of earth or whatever it is called where you get your genie skills, and it costs 3 mirage celestones and you can make whichever kind you want.

Make some good friends and rock Twilight Temple runs, can be great if you can get fast multirun's with a small squad (sorry if that already got said)
it should be because it is.
