Changing Cultivation

I have been searching and searching pwi forum and website for a definitive answer to a question I have about changing cultivations. I would really like a gm or someone who has actually changed culti's to respond.

The question is, yes I understand the lvl 11 skills go to lvl 10, but what about any lvl 100 skills you may have learned? I cannot find anything confirming or denying that you loose or keep the 100 skills when switching culti's. The skills state the required culti is Celestial Demon OR Sage, so its not specific to one or the other. I woud like to know for sure without a doubt tho.

Also I heard a rumor you had to do the 100 culti over again when you swap. Again, I cannot find anything confirming or denying that one either

Thank you so much,
P.

You'll keep your level 100 skills. Only skills that are explicitly sage/demon get reverted to their base.

And no, you only have to complete your full cultivation once. After that you can switch as many times as you'd like without needing to deal with cultivation quests again.

However, you will get the culti quest again from the start...but you can ignore it.

I wonder what happens if you actually DO those cultis... do your cultivation reset when you finish doing lv 9 culti? Will you become Spiritual Adept again?

Oh wow, that actually clears things up. I'm feeling motivated to finish my mystic's culti and switch to demon now that I know I won't have to do full delta ever again...

Also Fon, mystic's my fav char to run delta on D:

I try not to hate on a class in general but mystics are my least favorite class to see in Delta. Since I'm normally the Barb, BM, Sin, Veno, or Cleric it annoys me that their best aoe (aside from cragg exploding) causes silence or freeze and makes them run or just stand still and not follow the barb in a pull. This messes up pulls and groupping.

Sins have a naturally small aoe radius so if they spread out half my aoes miss.

Barbs try to keep the mobs close since they also have a small aoe radius. Also, if the mobs run they'll switch to magic damage and cause us to switch to take more damage. Silence and freeze also prevents us from gaining chi, meaning we can't use skills like arma and sunder which help us keep aggro. This means a mystic may cause us to lose aggro and people to die. Also, I specifically adjust my distance from an archer for him to either do full damage or half damage so he doesn't grab aggro too early but mystics spreading the mobs out ruins that too.

BMs its not too much of a big deal. Alot of times I'll HF right as the mystic spreads the mobs out and only half the mobs get the HF. Frustrating. I also feel more inclined to spam my stun so the mystic seals don't make things run out of aoe range. Not a big deal but it means I can't dd as much because of the mystic. I try to spam my dd rather than stun since I'd rather get aggro than a squishier class but having to spam stuns to prevent mob running makes that difficult and eats chi.

Veno, I regularly have my 100% mdef and pdef Myriad procs overwritten by 20% Befuddling debuffs. If there's no veno in squad its a great plant but its frustrating having awesome debuffs overwritten by mystics.

I can easily see mystics as being the most avoided class to have in a Delta squad and having to repeat culti would be rough.

yes, u take a reset(i've tried it on a p.server once) and is a pain, because u cant do some quest from the culti because u r "lvl too high"b:surrender

You haven't played with many Mystics in Delta that know what they are doing then. Having a Mystic in a Delta that actually knows what to do, not only greatly assists the barb in pulls, but makes the mobs drop a lot faster.

What I really want to know about switching character cultivation is what will happen to the imbued skills (untamed new forms and skills) after we switch. I am planning to go sage on my veno instead of demon, but dont wanna spend additional 29 golds for the Nether Essence besides the Schism mold... Obviously, I am not in a hope that I get the books themselves, but want to know if I have to do the quest chain again.

I hope for an answer from someone who experienced the same, or from anyone who knows the answer and not just guessing.
