How do you guys feel about the General Discussion subforum? Do you like it? Hate it? Where do you see the need for improvement, if any at all?

I think it could be a bit more lively, the threads these days are too serious. Actually, that goes for every subforum. Why are you guys so serious lately? Let's lay back, take a chill pill, and listen to some music or catch a movie. Come on guys.

Also, do you think I have good paint skills?

    I do enjoy reading them, it keeps me busy at times.
    If we are watching a movie, we are watching it at your house. People left me to clean up all the mess. f:cry Show me a picture of a purple hippo then I will admit to you having good paint skills. >.>

    I've always been one for some fun, you know that- I won't argue against the fact that the forums have gotten boring and waaay too serious, I myself may have gotten involved in 'serious' arguments in the past, but now all I can do is shake my head at how silly that is.

    As for GD (and the forums in general) what can I say?
    Most of the regulars (which are few compared to way back when) are malcontents, a lot of the topics are circlejerks or rehashed, and the few newbies who come here only do so to ask a few questions and rarely stay to frequent this place (or lurk indefinitely).

    Its no surprise things have gotten rather...stale.

    I visit General by far more than any other board (when I'm on the forums at all), and the main reason I do so is to keep up with current events. It actually used to be a lot nicer a few years ago, before the troll culture kinda took over and certain people started decrying every debate topic as QQ. As if there was nothing ever wrong with PWI to be discussed.

    There's absolutely a place for fun and games and lighthearted humor, but I personally believe that place is in-game. :) That's just my style, of course. Others can post more lighthearted stuff and it's great to see that, too, as diversity does make the forums more vibrant. The troll culture doesn't add anything, though.

    Though I will say, the staff have my respect for allowing respectful discussion on a wide range of game topics, including those critical of the game and its staff. This tradition has (for the most part) not waned since 2008, and that's not easy to say seeing as we've gone through four different CMs and at least a dozen mods.

    Yeah. b:chuckle In the F2P MMO industry it's pretty much the same across the board. QQ this, QQ that, and a small population of eternal malcontents who will cry a river and act like a battered spouse but never grow the balls to find something else.
