Personally, my favorite classes are the Psy and Seeker right now. I might like the mystic better than the Psy, but I never got past the mana drain early on, and haven't really played mine much since they started handing out free charms.

As for Arc/NoArc, read this for all the skinny details.

Truly though, with all the new quests, exp reward changes, and gear, you can very easily pick a couple of classes, spend a weekend or two tinkering with them and leveling them to 40 or so, and then deciding which you like best.

@Sylen - how early on are you talking about with the mana drain? A few Focus Powders and Jade Powders (and the 6000 MP version which I can't remember the name of right now) will take you pretty far without having to rely on the Easy-Mode charms. That's how I got my mystic through the 30-70 range. It was still a relief to be able to chug herb pots at 75, but it's totally doable without. :P

Yes, I'm still a stubborn holdout in favor of the old game. Haters gonna hate. ;]

    Other Active Characters:
LigerKing (Barb), Girasole (BM), Shamsheer (Sin), ArborSoul (Mystic).

Mana problems? I practically never had a problem with mana early on. Maybe because I was an apoth and I just made mana pots. But I'm pure mag, and never ever really had a problem with mana, only skill that would make my eyes pop out at my mana bar is Res buff, and thats if I was in a squad. But once you hit 79, get Clear Thoughts, very uselful skill f:victory

Oh! Umm Class suggestion, Mystic, Seeker, Psy or Veno (New Pets). But I'd suggest being a Mystic/Seeker though

play a sin, if u want to be rich and farm TT FCs, and get a good amount of tokens at NW its up to u if u want mage but be aware that u wont be able to make it profitable.

^sin is more suited for PvE instance farming, but for nation wars they aren't the greatest.. actually they are probably the worst. Yet to come across many great sins in NW, most are easy kills for essentially any class. Anyone running around with bramble can pretty much laugh their ***** off when sins kill themselves. The exceptions being those that stuck around with the sin class and went towards R9RR survival builds and go for DPH playstyle. We see more casters/archers/seekers than anything else in NW. Ocassionally you can see the rare Barb and BM there. Sins, from what I've noticed, tend to get farmed off the maps pretty quick if they spend any amount of time unstealthed. That is especially true if they are DPS built with low hp/no defenses.

I played my Mystic for a few weeks when they first came out. I think he's level 64 now. I haven't really touched him since. It's one of the things on my to-do list, but working on by G16 gear for two toons became more important. =)

I say mystic, and I'm not saying that because my main is one xD I've tried every class and to me the mystic just sticks. I like it because it's a combo of cleric and veno. But its mostly up to you.

    Happy toon-hunting f:cute
