Catshops - since new patch

hey guys,
since the new update is here there is a new button besides the "new daily quest"-button where u can see some shops opened by players.
i realized theese shops shown are not the same as catshops (since there are roundabout 1000 catshops in archo and if i click the button it shows about 5 shops opened by players.)
my question - how do i open a "catshop" which will be visible in this new section?

The item required to run a commission shop costs 18 gold/month from the boutique. This is only worth it if you haul in enough dough from your goods to cover the cost of the item. *Possible* pro is that it can potentially bring in more coinage from your merchanting from global awareness. That is, if people look there as well as in cat shops and boutique AND you price competitively enough. Obvious downside is the cost and the fact that it isn't permanent.
I was under the impression when it was announced that the feature was more like a tool to search all catshops on the server, but this was misleading in description. Dreamweaver only has about 5 commission shops itself and most don't buy anything, only sell event items/some cruddy gear/etc. You can't really run a wal-mart from what I understand of it.. it seems to be constricted to only certain categories, and your items have to all be of that type.
Had it not been a cash shop item/what I was envisioning, it would have the potential to equalize item prices to an extent. IE you wouldn't have one shop selling Item X for 4 mil, others selling X for 2 mil, and lots of others selling X for 300k.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

On arch there is only 1 person with the commission shop. I thought this feature would to be a universal cat shop search which would help tremendously but no. It's just a waste of gold.0

Ye, glad to see that guy is barely selling a thing even though hes the only one.
Means i wont need to spend 18g per month to "keep up with competition" b:pleased
Hope it stays that way...Everything i write is from PvE perspective unless mentioned otherwise.0 -
thanks to all ....
according to your responses this feature will be from now on considered as "just ****".....There is much Obi wan did not tell you.

So you can browse catshops from anywhere in the world. That doesn't do you a damn bit of good when you want to purchase something.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

As painful as it is, PWE mostly only makes those decisions. I too was hoping it would be a cat shop searching feature, which would make looking for anything so much easier and stabalize the market and reduce the Price Checks to just catshop search engine look-ups.
While the item is not what we assumed it would be, it could still be a worthwhile system if the price of the item was no overly ridiculous for a months worth of time. A permanent price reduction is inevitable, and I really really hope they are reasonable with how much of a reduction they place on it. As it stands for Sanctuary, only 6-7 people have actually bought a commision shop.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Actually, you need to go to a commission shop npc to buy stuff from those shops, and those npc's locations are known.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

I check these, and the Auction House but I think I'm more fond of Catshop-shopping... (as in window shopping). Just something about it is so much more appealing..
Strolling along - peeking at each.. etc...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Find something at a great price and buy it, then a few catshops later you find someone else selling that thing 50% less than what you just bought it for. Great feelings.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
