Virus or Unwanted program on update..

I'm updating the game and my anti-virus just gave me a security alert as i update the game.

"C:\jogos\Perfect World Entertainment\..|arcsdk.dll" <
Suspicious file that got blocked.

    Would sound like a false positive based on similar cases from the past. I haven't yet updated my client so I can not yet say if this happens to me too.

    It should be safe to use. You may need to exclude it from your anti-virus scans.

    No, I think classifying arc as a virus is pretty much spot on.

    This is why we've been saying for 5 years now to exclude your entire client directory from all antivirus/security scans.

    Because of the archaic infrastructure and the way it interfaces with the databases on the Linux servers, many components are often flagged and cleaned/quarantined.

    Hell, half the issues I find with user's posting problems end up being either a lack of supported drivers, or their antivirus software eating the client files. The latter taking a larger percentage.

    Since Arc is an unwanted program, yes your antivirus is correct.
