Hi guys,

Im soon going to get my g16 gear, but im wondering what shards would suit me best, so wanted to hear someone elses opinion.. The ones that are in my price range is cit, vit, DoD and DoT, cant afford Diety or JOSD, theyre out of my price range b:surrender .

I mainly do PvE, sometimes NW but thats pretty much the PvP i do...

    What refines are you going for? personally I would whack any old flawless garnets in until your refines are up to scratch.

    If this is already taken care of then I would say the best bang for your buck are the highest citrine shards. This depends on prices on your server I guess. DoDs are pretty pricey and if you have 24x40m lying around I'd say why not just head down R9 path..

    Im going for +10 but cant afford it straight away when i get the gear, at the moment i get a new piece i will get it to +5.. As for money i dont have a lot im saving over time, so I can't go out and buy all the shards at once.

    For the price of sharding g16 Nirv in DoDs or vit stones or DoTs or garnet gems, you could have full r9rr and have better stats and purify proc.

    Dont know Dod/DoT/vit/garnet prices on your servers but on Arch theyre around 35-40m each assuming i get 4 socks on each gear which is unlikely that means 40m*24 = 960m which isnt enough for even r9 as its 1.5b as far as i know

    Gold price is somewhere between 1.65m and 1.7m

    Calcing at 1.65m, it'd be like ~1.13 bil for all the medals and chips. It's only like 150m more.

    I can confirm what Eoria is saying. If you buy R9 materials when it's the cheapest sales (50%) you can probably get your R9 set with the budget you seem to have. You don't have to get it all at once either (prioritize armor over weapon).

    You'd argue that you can +10 a G16 easily but R9 would need extra money to R999 it and then refine but even at some average refine of +7 (do-able with event gold, tisha & tienkang) with some average shards (flawless, morai..can even do incomparables if you do weeklies) will offer you more. Plus guaranteed 4 sockets.

    It may sound like pushing people to R9 but really, you just gain much more from getting an average R999 set than a highly refined/sharded G16 Nirvana set.

    Next r9 sale will likely by on cyber monday or whatever its called in mid november if im right, by that time i can at a max save 150m which will give me money for r9 ring and an armor piece i think.

    The money im talking about is money im getting over a long time and cant just get at once
