Ok i knew this was talked about r9 . r999 and r8r gear ( i tested xD ) can be npc but what i notised today is that mine ewapon that i recently crafted got unable to sale but friend who made his doesn't have ?

    I had heard the horror stories of people npcing there R9 gear.

    We are not talking about R9 gear, we are talking about R9 3rd cast gear. The r9 3rd cast gear can be npced. It does happen, that things get taken off and put in your inv, and by mistake people can place items in the sell box and npc their gear accidentally.

    i think that u don't read... R9 or R9rr is same, if u DONT BOUND IT, can be npced, IF U BOUND IT, will see a message that says Unable to be Sold, this u will see it on R9, R9 Recast and R9rr, in all is same... -.-

    If you're stupid enough to NPC R9 gear you deserve to lose it...

    There's even that damn RARE ITEM dialog nowadays too...

    not really, u can make mistake cause if u go to full ws and got samsara (Seeker's wep mold) and u have R9 wep +3 and G16+10 u use ur g16 cause deal better damage than ur R9 atm, and u have 2 Samsara mold, u will sell one cause u just need 1 of them, and for mistake u sell ur R9?

    I used to farm Lunar during last 2x and it was also around the time I got my R999, the armor was still unrefined/unsharded or just low refines so I kept it in inventory. I got several wraps/boots molds and I double checked before selling them.

    It really is no excuse to accidentally NPC your R999 gear.

    Yeah it only shows up on my weapon as unable to be sold, because i bound the r9s1 daggers but not the armor. So, I need to hurry up and bind that armor! :D

    Imagine if car manufacturers installed a metal spike in the middle of the steering wheel and someone dies from a fender bender.
    Do you blame the death on the person who had the accident or on the car manufacturer? Blaming the victim in cases like this is not appropriate.

    Off the top of my head here are some common sense actions the devs should have taken to prevent this:

    1) Have the rare item dialog actually specify the name of the item triggering it and also remove the dialog from commonly NPCd items.
    2) Give R999 gear the "Unable to be sold" modifier.
    3) Give R999 gear unique icons that don't resemble molds / cheap dreamchaser armor.
    4) Allow players to repurchase recently NPC'd items (lots of games do this).

    +1. it's simply bad UI/X: the icons serve hardly any purpose if I have to check again and again. Sure they can't make a ton of icons but they could simply use some coloured borders (e.g. gold for gold mats, green for green mats perhaps something glowing for gear that you have recently equiped!)

    There is no excuse for the amount of items we have that all share one icon; it is ridiculous and a lot of things get NPCed accidentally. There is no reason why they can't at least recolour an icon for a new purpose if they are too lazy to design more.

    Also, they really should have the option to repurchase a recently sold item from an NPC as Asterelle suggested; that would save them a lot of hassle. And I personally think things like rank gear should always be unable to be sold.

    Yeah I agree with that. I wish they'd stop recycling the icons so much.
    Is it even that hard to create new icons? I assume that what you mostly need is the picture of the icon itself and then do the coding. The icon shouldn't be too much work, speaking as a person studying arts, something like this doesn't take too long to create o_o unless the coding is too complex for them to be implemented.

    I wasn't trying to defend the game/company or whatever by the way. It is a bad game flaw, would never say otherwise.

    Its all profit for PWI , see how funny it is even dreamchaser which share same skin like r999 is bound protected lol... and i had to buy bind charms to protect mines..

    I have an idea to keep things alive for r9rrrrrrrrrr users that have the ability to sell their gear. Play Russian Roulette with your awesome items and roll dice each week to determine whether or not you will NPC it all.. or piece by piece b:laugh b:victory

    Accidentally it does happen when you run ws and lunar and pick up your class molds. Trust me!! There are people that have moved their r9 3rd and got reimbursed for it. My case not much. Mine belt came in equipped and I didn't even realize it. And I know this is an old post but I sent in a ticket. Waiting patiently like they asked just to hear

    So what the *** am I suppose to do?? Buy that **** again?? When there was so many other people that got reimbursed for a mistake. Not everyone can shell out 600$ for r9 in a short time. I took 6-7months to get my full set. Ugh pwi really irritates me

    First of all, please don't revive topics like this or quote ticket responses. Both are against forum rules. Making a summary of what was said is fine, but you can't directly quote them like what you did. And, as this wasn't a stickied thread, making a new topic serves you much better since necromancy is also against the rules.




    Now with that out of the way...

    Kindly inform the ticket staff that this is a unique item that is impossible to re-acquire and remind them of the amount you spent on it in the first place. Then let them know you will be a very dissatisfied customer if they fail to do their jobs properly and reimburse you on the aforementioned unique item that they cannot be "out of stock of" due to it being a completely digitial item that has no such thing as a physical stock limitation. If necessary, inform them of any friends/family you may have playing that will also be rather cross at their decision and the consequence their actions will have in terms of your future purchases when it comes to -ANY- PWE title.



    Or to put it less nicely, call them out on their bull**** (though be sure to do this in a calm and levelheaded manner rather than something like the post you've made here) and let them know exactly what they're losing by not solving the issue properly. Don't take their no for an answer, but you will still have to have some patience with them even while being firm about this.

    Anyways, as this is a necro, I'm going to have to close it. Feel free to make another thread asking for advice if you so choose. Just be sure to, as I said, not quote them directly like you did here (that and the usual avoiding trolling/flaming/etc) so that it won't have to be edited and/or closed.
