Account deleting

In the TOS it states that the account will be deleted if not logged on for a year, is there a way to ensure that it does not happen? Might have to leave the game for a bit longer, would hate to loose my account.

    I dunno logg back in once in awhile it probably wouldn't be deleted.

    Looking at the "development" of the game I doubt you will want to play it after 1 year of absence.

    Pfff i wish it were true. Dunno what a year does, but right now im sitting on a caribbean island. (Belize, the most beautifull country i have seen in the world, but unfortunately spoiled by the most annoying, criminal and corrupt population i have found in any country so far) Using my laptop with the Wifi from a nice little restaurant here. My boat is 200 meters further in the water. The sun is shining and its about 25 degrees celcius. I have been sailing around here for the past 4 months.

    And wtf am i doing ? i am posting on these forums every day because i am still addicted and looking forward to coming home again where i can play PWI....

    True. Who knows how it will be in a year? Seeing as they keep releasing new gears and items instead of fixing old bugs. >.>

    If i can get a stable connection, you can tag me :).

    My issue is buying a computer for personal use (doubtful), electricity comes and goes, busy with work most likely, won't have much free time coinciding when electricity is present. Not sure how good the internet is, if there is internet. Not all places in the world are as high tech as we believe b:chuckle.

    I was just curious on the subject matter.

    I have a friend who played when PWI was new, then quit for over 1 year, and his account and char were still here when he came back... so chance is good you'll be ok.

    They do not delete your account. I do not know where you got that, you say the ToS? No, you obviously misread it. That or you have an over active imagintion or are a complete psychopath.

    They do however have a tendency to lock your account though, that is purely for your account's safety though. They lock it so that it does not get **** during periods of time that you would not be looking at it.

    Coming back after a long break, all you got to do if your account is locked, you can just send a ticket and they will unlock it for you.

    This is not hard to understand people! Just simple safety procedures, you should be grateful, not scared or mad or confused, just be thankful that they care enough to lock it while you are away.

    Flipping noobs...EVERYWHERE these days!

    A long time ago they did state accounts that were inactive for a year would be deleted.

    An also long but not quite as long as the first one time ago, they then stated that the one year account deletion policy had been revoked and accounts would not be deleted.

    I don't see that ever happening. Kinda like when they threaten to delete our read mail. Never happens.

    Noob? Yeah right, you wish. I called it like it is. Just because a moderator hopped on and said something about what they did a few years ago does not change what they still do TODAY.

    I know for a fact they close accounts for accounts safety. FOR A FACT. All you got to do is send in a ticket and viola, all better. I seen it happen to many people. I always log in from time to time, I have a TON of mats and from time to time I will dump them into the AH and be gone for another month or whatever, this will never happen to me.

    Maybe I'm an account they missed but I was off for a couple of years, came back, and still have my account. Now, any zen or gold is gone for inactive accounts so be sure to use that before you leave. b:laugh

    Thanks for the info, why would they remove all the zen/coins b:sad? Make sense to keep everything as is.

    I haven't charged lots of gold, but i have bought lots b:surrender. Should be close to r9x2.

    PWE cant afford to delete any accounts. They have already lost more than 75% of the playerbase compared to 1st year of the game.

    as to the topic at hand... uhh.. what everyone else already said. delete chars, uninstall game, do something that makes you forget about it for a week = problem solved.

    I left the game for over a year, my account had full R9 toons. My account was not deleted. But then again, I may have logged in 1 time for 2 seconds during my absence.
