This is the truth. PWI does not care about catshops making a profit. They care only about making money to keep the servers on. They closed one Europe server cause it was not making a profit. Now gold prices are climbing on all servers. Why? Cause fewer people are putting money into this game and there is less gold to buy. They are running sales more often and for longer trying to get people to put money into the game. Plain and simple the game's cash shoppers are slowly leaving and soon, if they don't fix it, they will have to merge US servers.

...honey, save yourself a lot of money and forgo the r8 boots/wrists. Just get tt99 boots+wrists. Much cheaper and a much better option.

It has nothing to do with the cost. If I wanted to I could easily buy R9, but I have no interest in PKing and to me that seems a waste. It has to do with time. As I stated before I can have my R8 totally finished in 1 month or less. Considering I have not even started farming G16 because I have always planned on going R8 it could take me months to get the molds I need for it. I don't even have TT99, I'm using my TT90 gold set. I thought it pointless to make a set of armor for one level, which if I wanted to would take me only a couple days to level past. And I don't need either the R8 or G16 weapon since I made the Warsoul bow. Recast R8 might cost a little more, but it is more time efficient.

There is one key thing wrong with the math. Some TT mats are bit higher than they cost on our server but not a biggie. The biggie is we have really cheap NW tokens, ~40k/rap & ~8k/canny. And thats with prices spiking for some reason, highest we`ve had for few months. EoO costs a bit more, same with EoD but meh, not that relevant. Oh and even with this sale we are only at ~1.4m-1.5m gold depending if you want to buy instantly or not.

If there are new player wtf they need r9 for or do you assume a ""new""player is just going to charge some money and fc there *** to 101?
Pwi look at the things that sold alot then put those on sale again why do you think packs have never come off the boutique it was supposed to be anni packs for a few months (1st anni) but due to the amount of cash made PACK CITY!!!
PWI is a money making machine early years not many players all low ish level so not many sales other than mounts/fashion odd refine sale......and the sale was for a week and then no sale for a month.
More people ,some hi ish lvls slightly more items on sale sale every 2/3 weeks
Anni pack invented ...sale on all the time lasting months then another sale straight after

As an aside... didn't it perhaps occur to you that PWI may be far more interested in encouraging it's many Csers to gear up their 10+ alts than going after these mythical new players you speak of ?

anyways they prices are just about getting money. The market also differs between servers.
and is maniplulated by players and the company. Its actually a research topic , they want to see if online virtual markets reflect real ones and can they be manipulated the same. If i can find the article i will link it, quite a good read.
