Long time player on Arch server, got a 100 Demon BM with some stuff and quite of money, but I'm so freaking rusty, I mean really rusty, can you give me a TL;DR of what classes are "good" or needed knowadays, the same? yes or no?

Since I have an account with money and so, what class do you recommend me to start again? Is Barbarian a good class, the true tank ones, or any other class, I just want a kinda person to sum it up for me pls :c

    I would advise against trying to please other people and fit in their definition of what is truly needed these days.
    Play the class you enjoy/understand the most and have fun! This is a game after all.

    Also, welcome back! :)

    That's the thing, I enjoy playing any class and any role, I just want to get the "right" class if I become too much attached again :o

    Well, any class is good if played well, first at hand.

    Second at hand, if you want to still go for the most "needed" it is still pretty much either a class that tanks very well (Barbarian, as you were already musing about, since you already have a Blademaster) or healer.

    Clerics will always be appreciated, loved, wanted, needed. They are also few these days (at least on my server, they are in very high demand all the time).

    Well, if you don't want to be a Cleric but still like the idea of being able to heal, you can also go for a Mystic, they are really, really great and their Summons are very fun to experiment with. Not to mention those really useful plants!

    Oh, also, Seekers. They are a really good choice. If you settle for a Seeker, you won't be disappointed. They are truly intriguing.

    Will end this here since it sounds like I'm making a commercial of some sort.

    Edit and P.S. - I find that going to read the class descriptions is always refreshing. Try out every class, see with which one you want to stay. See which one brings back the charm and excitement.

    If you already have a dps char i would suggest you try out a dph class like Psys, Wizzies or Archers. Wizzies are still pretty wanted :) Seekers are nice as well and many people prefer seekers over other AoE dds in squads. They have more defense than a bm and still hit like trains with their skills.

    If you REALLY want fun with a new char, make an APS barb or HA Cleric. But some people might not want you in squads if you have a non-common build xD Aps Barb are funny because you have large HP but you still can do great damage, however its an endgame build.
    And since you already have a bm you might become bored ....
    HA cleric is more funny while PvPing imo, dont know if thats something for you.

    Id say most wanted are: Clerics, Seekers, (Aps-) sins, Vit Barbs
    Medium wanted: Venos, Wizzies
    Might have a hard time: Mystics, Archers, Psychics

    But nowadays its not the class thats really wanted, its the gear. So if youre able to get decent gear the class isnt that important. You should probably try out an AA class just for a nice change b:pleased

    I'm in the same spot as you PermaDeath, I have a lv 100 BM and I haven't played PWI for a long time ( i can't really remember the last time i logged on) I'm surfing through the forums right now to see if I can get motivated to start playing again. So far I've seen threads ranting about how many people have high level equipment with a refining levels above +10, so I'm really worried that even if I came back most guilds and parties would want my character to be super equipped. 1-10
    1 is the lowest priority of need in popular instances. BH, FWS, NW, TW, TT, Lunar

    sin = farmer = 7

    barb = tank = 9.9

    seeker = phys aoe+magic = 7

    bm = aoe, debuff, control = 8

    mystic = semi-healer, squad protection = 4

    wizard = HA killer, aoe = 6.5

    psychic = 1 man army in pvp = 4~8

    venomancer = debuff, aoe, anti-aps buff = 8

    archer = aoe, debuff, magic, phys = 6

    cleric = healer, buffs, debuffs, res, magic, phys = 9.9

    Just off the top of my head, my opinions. Feel free to quote and edit the way you see fit

    the only classes wish come to mind wish faction alwasy i mean always want super op refined before inviting are assasin and venomancer.

    assasin only in lost city it seem but in a few pve server i looked at same thing is happening with venomancer.

    barb cleric are the least necesery geared to get into better factions and wizzie psy and maybe archer.

    tho those dd classes come from observation alone so i might be wrong.
