Hey all u fellow clerics. I need some advice. I recently acquired my r9 ring and began to collect gsts and mogs for my next piece of r9. My timeline to have all r9 peices.is 3 to 4 months. Including getting R9r and then going R9rr once i have badges for it all at once. I have the molds already. So my question is: which should i get first?
My current gear is full t3 nirvy+5 with a t3 glaive+10. Ill post a pcalc later.

This so much.
Don't do the same mistake that a lot of people do and get the weapon because "Purify Proc!!!". That proc isn't going to save your butt if your HP/defences are low.
As for the armor, I'd suggest getting Wrap/Boots first (because Nirvana Sleeves/Robe give +% physical defence) and then go for Sleeves/Robe. Unless, of course, you get all the armor pieces at once.
About the belt, I'd say get it after you get the 4 armor pieces (assuming your current belt isn't very good).[SIGPIC]http://i.imgur.com/MtwcqjL.png[/SIGPIC]

I have a warsong belt lvl 14 and a lvl 14 cube neck (the physical ones of course both +5)
Im not at home atm. Im on my fone so pcalc doesnt work for my fone. I also have a wings of cloudcharger for extra def
when i need it and i dont need the 6 peices of t3 for the attack lvls (normally i switch to cloud when i heal) (cloud is also +5)
I think they are ok for now.. not gonna refine anymore tho. Plans to get g16 neck in the future.0 -

That should be pretty good so yeah go for the armor first then. If you really want the weapon I'd guess you can leave the belt as the last piece.[SIGPIC]http://i.imgur.com/MtwcqjL.png[/SIGPIC]

Definitely go R9r chest first for the extra 5% hp boost.
From there I would get the belt for its raw defenses, followed by what Desdi said.[SIGPIC]Octavia is best pony![/SIGPIC]

I would still go belt before weapon . R9 still better than +5 warsong belt .0

[QUOTE=Desdi -Definitely go R9r chest first for the extra 5% hp boost.

I was looking at that but i wasn't sure. It would be nice to a slight boost in HP but tbh i was actually leaning towards the belt for a few reason. 1. The raw defences are good. 2. It gives good stats. 3. I think even r9 gives 3 def and attack lvls even.b4 recast. (Not for sure going off memory) 3. Altho t3 isnt the best, i still like having the set bonuses and being able to keep 15 def lvls from.5 pieces while having cloud charger on which is only possible with the belt being first.
Would that be good or would the chest be better for the hp boost? Since most ppl i talk to dont bother getting full t3 nirvy b4 r9. They just straight into r9. I got full t3 cuz i have a 100 veno and 7x psy on the same account. I can stash my gear between them and its nice not having farm 5 sets of gear. Figured having two decwnt geared toons would be better0 -
One other thing to point out is the cost of 4 pieces of armor is about the same as just the cost of a weapon. Getting 4 pieces of r9t3 > 1, even if that one has purify proc. This will also give you time to refine and start sharding the 4 pieces as you farm for your weapon.
Edit: No real opinion on the belt. I see yours is +5 so going r9t3 would still be a gain. For some people getting the belt is actually a physical defense loss or a lateral move since things like Warsong belt give about the same pdef. The +25 attack levels is 'meh' for a cleric's job in pve or a catacleric (definitely not shunning it though).
I'd actually lean towards weapon before belt just because purify proc is so sexy and once you have r9t3 armor you can actually start surviving long enough to make use of it, and usually killing an opponent is better than tanking them.Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. Gears first, than weapon.
My plan was to get the 4 pieces of gears first (pants, legs, chest and wrists) than the belt and finally the weapon.
When i got my 4 pieces of gears I gain a lot of survivability and attack power and decided to go for the weapon before the belt, so I got my weapon R9, I'm currently farming the summerwind to recast it, I already have the mold and badges for R9rr.
My R9 is on my mystic, but it's kinda similar to cleric since I'm a support class that need to focus on survivability more than power. (in my opinion)
I changed my mind for the weapon before the belt for the fact that with the 4 pieces I have enough survivability to the purify to be useful and also that with the weapon it will be a joke to farm stuff to farm the belt.
I have currently a warsong belt +6.
For me also getting the 4 pieces of gears first was more for motivation, getting 4 pieces of gears beside one belt was more encouraging, cause when i check my inventory to see 4 pieces of R9rr is more fun than just a belt, also the bonus for the 4 pieces is good, -6% chan, +100 magic and 25 defense lvl, I personally do see a lot of different on my chan (pass from something like 20% to 28%), I see a difference in my attacks and heals with the +100 magic points and 25 defense lvl beside the 15 of G16 is better.

(there are no buffs, no blessing, just bear bottom stats)
Note: I forgot the attack lvls on my weapon but ehh. the hp on the weapon is from meridian bonus.
The reason i was wanting to get belt was it would give more def for me with my current gear and stil allow my to get 15 def lvls without switching gear around right away. (attack lvls are merely for soloing fire pav in fws)0 -
tbh, at your current refines and sharding, def levels kinda mean **** all because you're a one-shot in pvp regardless.
I'd go the four r9rr armor pieces->refine+shard them decently (+7 with exclusive garnets)->r9rr wep->r9rr belt. Or three r9rr armor pieces+belt->refine+shard them->r9rr wep->last r9rr armor piece. Second way would let you keep the HP set bonus off the g16 Nirv for a bit longer.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Im not a one shot.. except if a someone gets zerk crit on me. i do know how to survive with my gear i have done it for about 4 months now while farming some stuff for my archer. most of the time r9rr ppl 3 hit me which isnt killing them ik but it isnt a one shot. (first hit charm tick, second hit, three hit dead)
Futher more, half the ppl without r9rr are one shots regaurdless of gear because r9rr trumps everything. Having no def lvl is worse than having some. I would rather be a 3 shot with my ****ty 15 def lvls than being one shot without them imo. (i have 37 with o'mailey's) and i dont get really like sharding my gear with physical def. One it helps in one situation and at r9rr its less about the percentage of deduction than the attack/defense lvls and HP.0 -

It's pretty much what I expected. So the best I think for you is to see the different options. (I did put everything recast)
http://pwcalc.com/44bea73abe229708
^ Here's with the 4 pieces of armor +5 shard in perfects since exclusives are not in the pwicalc, but with exclusive that would bring the p.def at 4540 unbuffed (around 6.9k-7k buffed), I did put minimum stats on everything, but realistically you would easy get 7k hp+, you gain 10 defense lvl more. The magic attack gain is +2161 on the minimum and +2699 on the maximum.
So pretty much compare to what you have right now you gain a lot of everything, hp, p.def, m.attack and def lvl. (don't forget that the hp and m.attack will be higher than that since I did put the minimum stats)
http://pwcalc.com/e550e07bb3d3289d
^ Here's with only the belt, you have 3756 p.def unbuffed (5484 buffed), 158 less hp and you gain only 2 def lvl and not 3 since your warsong had 1 def lvl. The magic attack gain +236 on the minimum and +295 on the max.
So as you can see only the belt give you a better p.def than what you have right now, but not that much (not even 1k unbuffed), your m.attack is not that much higher and your hp is lower and the 2 def lvl you won't even notice it.
So in resume with only the belt you will probably be disappointed, cause you won't see a difference on your survivability and you might regret that you didn't get the 4 pieces first.
With the 4 pieces you will notice a difference on your survivability and m.attack (attack and heals), also you will gain minimum -7% chan, max -12%, but even with the minimum -7% (you would need to be really unlucky to get only -1%) you will notice a difference.
For only the belt it will take 3 MoG and 32 GST, for the 4 pieces of gears 8 MoG and 56 GST, it's more of course, but trust me it worth it.
If you get the 4 pieces of gears first, with the difference you will see on your survivability you might even change your mind and get the weapon before the belt.
But nvm what you chose, don't get the weapon first. xD[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Oi! Forgot some people say r9 and mean r9, not third tier. My bad. Since we were talking about purify proc I assumed we were all talking tier 3 and when I saw the belt doesn't have def levels I was like "whut? Yes it does."Seven 100+ characters leveled the hard way. 3-4 months that's a lot of game play wish you luck. Depends on how your obtaining, through charging or farming. Charging I'd say gear first because the refine will be cheap in the end +7 =+10 on r9 2nd cast for the r9 3rd cast + the 100 mag will def give you a boost with your current weap. But farming I'd say first cast r9 with at least +7 refine than work towards r93rd your weap because if you can take the hits you can do a lot with purfy proc and truthfully you gain a lot tokens if you deal dmg in NW rather than healing.0

I wont get the weapon first, know it doesnt help with some defense backing it. I knew the gear makes the weapon more op. My current is pk now.i think. But yeah, thanks for the work and doing pcals. It really made it clear which to go for.
Ik 3 to 4 months is a long time of game play, yes. But 3 to 4 months waa getting everything to r9r. Hopefully i can r9rr by that time as well since i have all my molds just needing the badges and eoo's and aod's.0 -
By the way, since you have the G16 Nirvy gears, when you will get the R9 gears don't waste money to refine and shard it, G16 Nirvy is better than R9 for survivability so it doesn't worth it to refine shard it, cause anyway you plan to go for R9rr.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
