So yeah v4liance was the fourth CM, and he had a 4 in his name. xDDD Which is pretty cool. Yet another way Hey, you rocked! His time felt so short because he did so much and really reinvigorated the community!

Seriously? How about the fact that he got ini-editing allowed after we've been asking for it for years? How about how he got some of the old fashion released that we were begging for? How about how he listened to our demands to stop putting fashion in packs? How about the implementation of Quality Corner, which has led to many fixes?

fashs are still in packs, since the packs are made in china.

And I will add;
He was also very active on the forums. He responded to a lot of threads and questions even if he didn't have a clear answer but at least he communicated with us. He let us know how things are and he was honest with us even when all he could say is "Sorry guys but I have no news".[SIGPIC]http://i.imgur.com/MtwcqjL.png[/SIGPIC]

It's not a long time when content updates are spaced 3-4 months apart, and all major changes go into content updates. And JJ orders are a change that was made to the game, as are dreamchaser packs, there were several long standing minor bugs that have been fixed thanks to the QC and more changes are on the way. More importantly though, there was a huge shift in the way PWE has communicated with and treated it's players. The quality corner, the fashion, the ini edits, these are all things that people have been asking for, for many years to see and it is finally happening. The west coast servers have an upgraded hardware, and a GM has went on record as saying this has given at least some hope that we will have cross-server content. Maybe. Possibly. Hopefully. That doesn't mean we will get it naturally, but it helps the odds. That is huge in and of itself. We're also should get a localized map specific to our version until we can get server vs server working, or to replace SvS if it turns out it can never happen. These are all huge things that previous CMs had been unable to accomplish for years, and he accomplished them. And no he didn't do it alone, all the GMs here have been helping behind the curtain to make these changes a reality. He couldn't have done these things alone, obviously. And some inquires and questions were made or answered by other GMs, eg the oft requested account stash suggestion.But it is obvious to anyone who has paid attention that these big changes in attitude came around the same time as he did, and that's he is a large part of that.
I really hope that whoever replaces him is able to keep up that momentum. Because it has really revitalized the way people perceive this game. And that's so very important with an older game.
If you don't get why filling huge orders that people have been clamoring for years is such a big deal, then I guess there is no convincing you. But you can't really say he didn't do much. Causing a huge shift in customer service from a company that has been around for years in the span of a few months though, is a lot. And that's the reason he has been getting so much praise. I think it is well deserved.
Did he accomplish everything he even wanted to do? No, he was the first to admit that. Did he change every little thing that people have been complaining about? No, and no one can. Is this game anywhere near perfect. HA! Definitely not. But the impact he had has been large, and he's done a lot in the short time he was here.0 -

like, from what i understand val is going somewhere else, means his job was more than likely a full time one, so i hope listening to the comunity, (the customers) is considered as normal >.>
again, fashs released might be cool (even tho i think pwe would have released them anyway, since its $) but games had issues, and have now because of updates, problems that were pointed out by players before the updates occur, but were not taken into consideration
like i said, his work was good, but far from perfect

I'm sorry but I don't really count this as him doing anything for us. He just posted that it was allowed. Tbh, I think it was frankie or one of the devs who was trying to get this for us because we wanted it so badly. Frankie just so happened to be leaving and V4 was coming in when they finally allowed it.
Was a good strategy to get us to like him imo.
We still do have fashions in packs. Nothing changed. There was never any mention of there never being any more fashion in boutique. People just overreacted. They threw us some super old fashion that's been out for years on china servers, finally, to give us something. At least we aren't getting $10 dresses anymore, that's good.
I like him for being active on the forums, which is what a good CM is suppose to do.

Frankie was the first one to acknowledge that we wanted it, but he never really was able to get anywhere with it. He then left, leaving the fate of the initiative in question. V4l came in and pushed for it until he successfully pushed the envelope on the fact that we wanted it. There was no "strategy" needed, he genuinely cared enough about the community to attempt to promote the things that we requested.

Did you know that val was a CM not God?
The CM is not a dev.
The CM is not the one taking the decisions, he is a part of a team and have a boss.
CM=Community Manager.
Moving chars to a other server is impossible and that have nothing to do with the CM been competent or not. It's over a year you complain about time zone and events time, stop complain and make a freaking char on Morai if you want to play on the EU time zone. A lot of people play on 2 servers, if they can do it than you can do it too, by now you would have probably a R9 char on Morai if you did started a toon on EU a year ago beside waste over a year complaining about not be able to be move on EU.
Also val is gone before he could put that up, but he worked a lot and really hard on the GA program, while in 3 years with Frankie nothing moved on that program.
For the .ini edit, it's maybe not a in game issue for you, but the community asked for it and he gave it to the community, don't trash talk him for giving something the community asked.
Same for the fash, it's maybe not a issue for you, but for some people it was, again he gave what the community asked.
