I'm using a VPN to acquire a US address. Do you think I'll get banned if I log into PW?

    yup happened to me, accidentally left mine on and logged in, had to wait 1 whole week yo, ONE WHOLE WEEK!!!!!

    It's because the server bot that looks for proxied connections detects it as a proxy. If you happen to get banned because of it, simply submit a ticket, or if you can't do that, send an e-mail to customerservice@perfectworld.com.

    Additionally, if your ISP offers you "Accelerated" speeds, it's because they are pre-caching data through proxy servers. Unfortunately this has two large negative effects for playing PWI. 1. It can cause horrendous lag spikes. 2. You bet auto-banned by the proxy bot.
