Can I ride any of the temable pets?

Such as the foxwing? Which tamed pets are ridable?

    Tameable pets is battle pets for venos, so no you can't ride them

    Ok, but where can I get a free (Quest) or coin based mount except for horses?

    The only quest ground mounts are those for Dragon Orders, which are all horses. You can buy ground mounts from other players (usually when they upgrade to a faster one themselves) at less than boutique prices, or you can accumulate sufficient DQ points to buy a Sage/Demon Event card from the DQ shop, trade that in at the PWI Boutique Agent for event gold, and buy a mount from the event boutique (open up cash shop using letter O, tick the Events tab, go to the Ride tab and you'll see 6 mounts available, none horses.)

    Morai quest mounts (cost coin also), and anniversary mounts exist as well.

    If you can get a dreamchaser pack there's a mount in it, it's not super fast, but it's free. =)

    I actually have such a pack, got it upon registering, it's just that it's my blademaster that has it, and not my venomancer.

    There's also the perfect attendance horse; and there's a couple of (slow) horses you can buy from the pet trainer NPC.

    But no; you can't tame anything and have it be a mount.

    alas the attendance horse is 9.00m/s (maxed 10 i guess). pretty disappointing since I was close to getting it. oh, well, pstones it is.
