Assassins running in place

Every now and then when playing an assassin a glitch will occur where the player will run on the spot which causes the player not to be able to use skills, rendering the player useless....

The only known way to fix this is to teleport within the instance if it has one, or actually leave the instance and come back in.

    You can actually fix it by logging in an out on the spot, but it is indeed an annoying bug when it happens, logging in/out as well as the two aforementioned 'fixes' are arguably just as annoying as the bug if not more, any 'fix' to make this bug go away by the player is a bit on the dangerous/time consuming side.

    So yea... I would love to see this bug fixed, I am not entirely sure what causes it, have heard many people's theories on how this happens, but sadly most are different from the last one.

    Stop spamming the auto-attack key.
    Just press it once, or twice if really needed.
    Smashing repeatedly on your auto-attack key will not increase your APS.

    When this glitch does happen, I prefer a fast relog to stay at the same place.

    I've experienced that with my Venomancer a few times, usually after transforming into or out of fox form. However, I don't have much information or proof about it so next time it happens I'll try to take some screenshots.

    As rarely as I play my sin, I can also confirm that this happens.

    I can also confirm that it's not an APS thing, as the only aps my sin gets comes from his tt90 gold armor and demon spark (and he even got the glitch when he was wearing 90 green armor, leaving him with no -int gear at all). It seems to happen a lot in Frost, not so much in other instances.

    This glitch occur, when the assassin uses Power Dash and can directly attack without going a step or two.
    When you use Power Dash from max distance and use auto attack after that, it wont happen, but when you dont have to move after using Power Dash, the glitch will occur sometimes.

    Very annoying

    Chances of the glitch occuring will increase when you spam your auto-attack key.
    No matter what your APS is.
    No matter what skill you used before.

    If there are any other causes, I don't know. I can only confirm the above.

    Happens all the time, and I too can confirm this. The only way I can resolve it seems to be relogging, and I'm not sure what the cause is. It happens all the time.

    I can confirm that this glitch happens. This can occur anywhere, including the world map. Leaving/entering instance, relogging, and embracing seem to solve the issue.

    People I have talked to have experienced this issue even on non-assassin characters. However, this issue seem to primarily reside with the Assassin class.

    While I have not been able to isolate this issue to reproduce at will, I do notice that it occurs mostly on uneven terrains while attacking a large mob/boss. I hope that helps.

    I have encountered another, frequently occurring, assassin glitch.
    How this happens I am yet to figure out, however I have had it happen to me in Frostcovered City and in Delta many, many times.
    What happens is that the character runs on the spot and does not stop doing so. Skills are delayed to about 5 seconds, as is auto attacking, causing me to die on several occasions.

    Here is a screencap of it happening. I know it doesn't show me actually moving but I assure you, I was running on the spot at the time I took this

    I found out that teleporting(not the skill) fixes this, as does entering or exiting an instance. Or logging out and back in.

    Could anyone please tell me what causes this, and how to avoid it?

    The glitch is not assassin specific, as it happens to all of us sometimes. Myself, on quite a few occasions. I've tried to fix it but usually i have to log out and back in. So any fix to this would be appreciated.

    I never noticed this bug in my Archer or Barb just happens in my Assassin. Well yeah fixing this bug will be really nice ^_^. This issue has been already raised here, it would be nice if any MoDs merge the threads all together.

    Never had it happen to me anywhere but on my sin, and no idea if it is a matter of gameplay, but on my sin it only happened twice, and been playing him for ages.

    I have noticed this bug occurs mostly when i'm in action like doing FC/Warsong or Nirvana for example.
    It's pretty annoying sometimes ends up taking my life because i can't use any skill just auto-attack after clicking like 7-8 times.     b:sad

    I have noticed that if you spam a skill button the skill won't work at all. You need to click it and wait a good 4 or 5 seconds for the skill to actually take effect.
    When it happens to me in an important instance I tell them I need to be right back and relog as fast as possible.

    This glitch has only happened to me on my assassin, and most of the times it has happened when I teleport to a target. It used to be of rare frequency when I was doing Frost. Now that I don't Frost, it's extremely rare that it happens.

    The only way for me to resolve this was to log out, or leave the instance.

    Happens when you interrupt a fast action, or get interrupted by a mob.

    My lastest study on this case happened when I got slow channel from Dimentora and tried to spark (the spark skill bar slowed a bit to fill up and the boss interrupted it with his attack). Seems odd, but that's what happened.

    When you get that glitch, character runs in the same place, never gets out of combat mode, becomes unable to embrace and trade.

    To come back to normal state, you have to suffer a map repositioning, to do so you gotta use town portal, or a morai teleportation scroll, or teleport from a teleporter, change maps, or go in/out of an instance, or relog.

    From what I know, the glitch occours when using a skill during an oscilation in your internet connection.
