How do I attack NPC using my skills?

Hi,

I am having trouble attacking npc using my skills, I can only auto attack them. I unchecked all my protections and still can't use skills? b:surrender

    You have to physically click on the skill icon. Not use a hotkey.

    As they both said, you need to hold 'ctrl' and click a skill(can't use the hotkeys)

    You also need to be outside of a safe zone I believe.

    the other catch is that if you are using a weapon not suited to your class, the majority of your skills will not work...

    NPCs should kick the butt of everyone that whacks them up for all purposes, especially cheap chi gaining ones (in the form of a deadly one-shot). I really mean it. b:scorn

    I believe this person is more curious for the fact that the Veno instance requires them to hit a guard or something, not so much to build chi.
