Give us a better way to get the Crown of Madness (New Helm)

Will start with this, is damm stupid to make a end game piece of gear with a bonus set and only put it in some packs with almost no posible way to get it since LOTS of ppl had try with 10K+ packs and no1 on almost all the servers got the Crown of Madness yet.
Think a bit less in ur pockets and think a bit more in ur customer PWI or ur game will keep lossing ppl speacially those who keep the game "alive" paying hundreds and thousands.

    Well this was intended & also an end-game helmet should be not easily acquirable. That's why is called end-game(btw i don't think so there's ever gonna be a end-game gear for mmorpg's).b:surrender

    Ehh, I'd say for something to be "expensive" and "hard to obtain" it has to actually be a part of the game.

    The new helm basically doesn't exist.

    Before NW warsoul was expensive and hard to get but it was firmly a part of the game. Almost all other pack gear like the lunar weapons, PQ2 rings, cube necks, trophy capes, and warsoul belt have an existence outside of the pack.

    The only exceptions so far have been:
    -Scroll of Tome
    -Matchless Wings
    -New helm

    The first two are relatively ubiquitous these days but the new helm basically just doesn't exist no matter how many billions you want to spend on it.

    I think there should be an actual path to obtaining the helm even if it is something stupidly high like 9,999 disabled cogs

    Nah, people won't leave this game no matter what PWE does. They know how addicting this game is, so the administrators know they can do anything that injures or benefits the community, without drawbacks. They just don't care if the community likes something or not, after all, they know we will still play even though we complain hundreds of times. We can't do anything to stop their greed for money.

    Try comparing PWE to a government: A lot of politicians don't care about the civilians , they just worry about their pockets. But people are aware of this, and when the limit of the abuse made by the politicians to civilians is reached, people make a coup d'etat and restart the government to a new one (which follows the cycle, decaying at some point). Sadly, it's impossible to rebel against the administrators of a game.

    well im ok if end game gear is hard and expensive, trust me im ok with that but what is wrong here is that is like imposible to get that helm. go check snake packs ppl had opened already and check how many helms on the game u can find on any server, i bet u wont find more than 2

    Since there's a new instance in China, they could potentially change the rewards and make it and Matchless farmable in there. Just a suggestion.

    you have any idea how many packs were opened? Scroll of Tome was rare enough, same drop rate would have been acceptable i guess. but the helm is just ridiculous

    I just checked prices you coudl buy real medieval helm for about 200 dollar up to 400 tops. So if pwi make 260k dolar on this one i wonder can it do dishes at least?

    The cape didn't have a 2 in a million chance like the helm does.

    From Snake packs alone, there will be 15 capes for each helm that makes it into existence.

    The helmet isn't a requirement for a full set of gear (cape+ helmet isn't a full set of gear .-.), for instance rrr9, which is considered the best gear, plus there are many options of other helmets/capes. Why should you demand it?

    I agree that there should be a better way to obtain this helm. This isn't a self-entitlement thread, it's a valid suggestion for getting a piece of gear through some sort of game play instead of pack gambling, and that would always be healthier for the game.

    at the current state you can't craft lunar weapons either, right?

    edit: nvm, I meant frost weapons but you can craft them with 1k signs and they drop from last boss...

    You can get Scroll of Tome through Lucid Gold now. (that's a pack, but it's not a money pack)

    Nothing makes me more happy when csers don`t get what they want b:cute Keep on gambling, pay several hundred k to try and obtain it, eventually it will be obtainable by other means, like all stuff, 1st step is to milk the most stupid "customers", then they make it slightly more obtainable and only then it`s time for the casual player, of course, after there will be even powerful item to strive for, so the cycle repeats!

    SoT is not exactly rare anymore. Every CSer, good merchant and persistant farmer can get it. Maybe it won't be the same with helm right away. How awful.

    It depends on the playstyle, but I would consider warsoul, g16, lunar, oht and morai helmets end game ... it depends what people are after. Some like the Warsoul -chan, others go for the phys defense of the Saphyre Hat, some prefer the hp on Ence's Scar, while others go for morai full set for the pve experience or just go for g16 full set for the bonus.

    SoT is not rare? there is not that many on the market, lot of players still looking for one.
    and its drop rate is way higher than the helm.

    then you didnt understand what most are saying. it being rare in packs ok, but thing is it is the ONLY way to get it. even if the way to make it in game by crafting would be insane, there should be a way to make it. if the drop rate was at least like Scroll of Tome, would have been acceptable, but right now it just doesnt exist.

    Even for the msot competitive players, that helmet isn't required to be competitive. If this isn't required, then it should be rare. In every game there is something that is very rare, and now pw has something too. The way to get it is to gamble. If you really like it, gamble, if not, get whetever is best after that helmet.

    I did understand the dilemma, I just don't get why it should be made available easily in game by means of crafting. As Azura said just a few posts ago, it isn't necessary to be competitive, if a few want to stroke their e-pens so much, then they have to get it the expensive way. They want a unique vanity item, they can get it by emptying their wallets.

    Seeing how little is won for what a huge sum of money they'll pay, then sure. Someone has to pay for the game to be free for me .
    If it were something game -breaking that would greatly affect the balance between cash shoppers and free players, then I would be upset, but this helmet is a trifle.

    It's always pay to win. Even if they were given free you'd still have to shard it and refine it damn good to be even competitive.
    more common "good" gear = easier to obtain -> more competition -> more pressure to improve further
    less common "good" gear = harder to obtain -> less competition -> less pressure to improve further
    It evens out, really.

    I'm not against making it craftable, though.
