Arc sucks soooo much

It's gotta be the worst way to download anything that I've ever seen... I'm sitting here trying to download PW and it's literally froze probably 50 times by 15% in. This is bull **** why did they change it? b:cry

Aaaand it just randomly started from 0% again after it was finally 75% downloaded.... was this program made by a group of 10 year olds or something?

    all the vertians here have pw backed uped somewhere on a usb, and just transfer/update when windows is reinstalled or new pc

    Strange; never had any problems with ARC. I redownloaded all the games in every version again and all went fine.

    No problems installing PWI here. Got it downloaded within an hour with Arc. You must have some kind of ****ty interweb connection. Que Lastima for you.

    It sounds like a problem on your end, arc is just a game management thingy. If you post a speccy, dxdiag and maybe a traceroute I'm sure someone here can help you. You can also try submitting a ticket to customer support.     I am trying to figure out how to duel client with Arc. I HATE it! I want them to go back to the old ways. I couldn't get a back up file of PWI because my pc had to be re-formatted. And they did the Arc thing during that period.

    Hii everyone!
    I have another problem... i was download the Arc.. then i tried to download PWI.
    The downloading was stop at 99% :((
    What can i do? b:cry

    You cannot do anything other then just Submit a Ticket. There are no other ways to download PWI anymore they have removed the torrent and Direct Downloads links.

    Hi.
    I just got everything erased from my computer and wanted to download PWI again of course. I realized that I had to download this Arc thing and when i had installed it and launched I saw that i could download PWI and some other games there. I clicked "Install" at PWI and the response i got was: "The download folder you specified does not excist" and this happened when i tried to install all the other games aswell. What to do? :((

    Go to Settings > Download and select a valid download directory.

    I have been trying to download PWI for 4 days now and it keeps going back to 0% after finishing downloading and about 40% through installation it is really pissing me off. idk whuts up. DD never did this :|

    Haven't played PWI in awhile. Comp got wiped and I lost PW, DL'd the ARC downloader and it doesn't work for ****. I get the same msg every time.." Download file specified does not exist". I have went into the settings specified numerous Dl locations..none of them work. Evry time i go back into settings the file I specified does not show, it's blank every time. Spent enough money in this game and would like to play again....fix arc or refund my money.

    DL'd Neverwinter just fine, and didn't even need arc for that.....wtf?
    Better to remain silent and look stupid, then to open your mouth and remove all doubt!

    What kind of hardware set up do you have? Are you downloading to external drives?

    Downloading straight to my hardrive. Have never had a problem DL'ing any game...and was able to DL Neverwinter without arc and play it without arc as well.

    Arc sucks horribly, never downloading another PW game again. It dc's me from my DNS server(Don't ask me how, it just does). I tried multiple times to download PWI through arc and everytime around 20-30% I lost internet connection. Barely got it back...uninstalled Arc. I had to install from an old PWI and update......

    PLEASE PWI RE-ADD DIRECT LINK AND TORRENT DOWNLOAD!

    this arc thingy is stupid..i try saving some of my good looking toon into my folder but nothing pop up in the darn folder. i look everywhere but there is none ugh i really hate this new arc thingyb:angry

    I wish it was that simple D:
    And you can keep how your toon looks even after re-downloading, you'll only lose saved presets, the looks your current toon has is saved on the server so you won't lose that. o.o

    aww that is true..well at least i can customize my toon again. Like now i can save my preset but it wont pop up in my folder at all. I check every folder but nope nothing. Guess i'm stuck with my toon how the way they areb:sad

    Because a couple of people were getting tech support instead of just complaining about it, complaints should be directed to the thread in GD but technical issue are fine in tech support. Since nobody is anymore though, I'll close it.
