This recent addition to your game is far beyond unfair to the rest of the Venomancers in this game!!! Far be it me to say this cause I have been away from game for quite some time due to Illness, and loss of internet during a move. However its extremely unfair that you have made the Evolution of Pets only obtainable at lvl 100 when Venomancers pets grow in levels from the time we tame them. I myself started some of my pets when I myself was a low level. They should at least offer 2 earlier evolution times in the cycle of a pet. Not to mention your NEW pets available once again is by Coinage only. We were told a while back you were gonna fix the ones in Tellus area and surrounding spots so that certain types were tamable. That has never happened, and now as slap to face the only New pets you offer are by Coin. Not all of us can just go right on down and buy the cards, and in game the price for gold is getting far out of reach. You took our DQ drop prices down cause of those farming it for coin. When some of us relied on that as our only means of getting in game coin. Now you make it where we have to work harder to get it!! For what I ask?????? I have been a long time player here and am about to just say Forget the game. Its not as fun as it used to be before people started ripping people off in game.

Low levels have daily quests they can do for coins now at Jolly Jones.
You don't need evolved pets at lower levels. You can do any low level instance with a beetle. The harder instances can be done with the evolved pets at level 100. You know, when you actually need those instances.
All in all the new veno pet system is largely a coin sink for PWI. It has some nice applications for PVP and some convenience for grinding, but neither of those things are needed at low levels.0 -
Well, the pet evolution isn't really spectacular or anything... And this game is all about getting 100+ now anyway so if you do it right it won't be long until you're 100 as well... If you by then also still have pets that aren't 100 yet, you can use the Stars to feed them exp and raise them up pretty quickly too... I don't think you're missing out on anything big... Maybe it would've bin nice if there was a way for lower lvles to obtain some Stars too or other items to speed up your pet lvling though... But like I said, you'll be 100 soon anyway... Just do BH's, FF's, Realm of Reflection meditation, etc... b:cute
Oh and about the nerfed DQ drops... Have you tried the new Jolly Jones coin quests? They're available to do if you're under 80... 1 quest, depending on your lvl, pays out like 70k... And you can do the quest 7 times a day... It'll add up nicely if you do it often enough... Once you're in the 80's DQ drops around your lvl will have their own full value again so you can start grinding coins from DQ drops then again... f:grin
But if you want my opinion... Don't go for the Cash Shop pets... They're not particularly worth it unless you insist on having one universal pet that can fight on land, air, and water... There are plenty other cute/free pets out there which will also be pretty useful... A lot of them can evolve at lvl 100 too (though not all of them as Tabby Cat and Bunny can't evolve for example)... f:victory[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

When I started my veno there was no Hypers, no BH, no School Teacher Quest, no Tideborn. Your main pets were a Petite Sawfly for a flyer and a Crystalline Magmite for ground pounding. You got those as soon as you were able to tame them specially if you wanted powerful pets at higher levels. When you ran out of quests to do, you looked for an area where mobs were 10 levels above your pets and grind for hours on end trying to level both yourself and your pet. Veno's at that time were the true powerhouse of PWI. They could solo where no one would dare to go. Levelling Old school was called "paying you dues." We were the money maker class. We also held the exclusive rights to making All Class pets and selling them through our catshops to other payers, until PWI decided to **** that up 100% on us and kill off the veno to player economy.
Now... not so much. We had to work dam hard back then. Not only did we have to level ourselves, but our pets also. The call that rang out from the player community about venos was "How easy they have it". Only those who did not have a veno sang that tune. Those players have/had no idea that after level 100 just how much exp it takes to level a pet.
We who have paid our dues welcome the pet evolution system, it cuts us some slack. What we think that is totally unfair and sucks is the fact that someone decided to nerf our bramble: "For balancing reasons" Like our bramble protected us Arcane venos from a BM's 65k crit with HF, or stops a Sage Sin's 5 aps Stun attack, or stops a Barbarian's massive hits. Yes all in the name of balance. Hell our bramble couldn't stop those kinds of hits before so where is this damn balance? If only we had a God Stun like clerics that freeze another up for a full 30 seconds. Balance - what a joke. Our pets are about the only thing we have going for us and yes with tough instances like Aba and SoT we do need that system. So will you when your level 100 and beyond. Under 100.. even most lower end TT's and definitely FC, your good to go with an Icewalker that is the same level as you are.0 -

Um bramble was nerfed because it's a passive skill that basically kills people w/o any action on your part. You want to get a sin off of you? WORK FOR IT! Every other class in this games spends tons of money on hp, mp, and repairs while veno's get skills that gives them that for free. Long CD? Doesn't really matter, the skills are still there. Use them wisely. You dont have to pay much for repair often if your pets are tanking. My lv90 barb's repair bill is 113k almost every single fc he does, but I deal with it, because it's a part of playing a barb. I don't sit on the forums and complain about it, unlike these casters whom pay very little for so much.
Sage sins can't be 5 aps unless they have int on every part of their gear, and that's damn there impossible unless you have triple int daggers, even so, the fact you think sage sins are normally 5aps is unsettling. You the type that doesn't like sins attacking you? Lets compare how much you spend on gear for farming vs how much a sage sin spend on gear for farming. Veno wins again.
Balance. Hmmm, a dps that can still attack while you are stunned or silenced. Range, poison, chi stealing, hp regen lowering, passive reflect that kills you if you are a melee class (and you dont have to do anything to use it). Seems like veno's get a little more than their fair share of perks. Suck it up.
I agree with you that a pet upgrade has been over due because of the nature of instances like warsong, but the other ****? You can cut it.0 -

Yet another example of PWI's 11th class of chars - The entitlement class. People think they need to get everything for nothing. You want to evolve your pets then level yourself and your pets to 100+ then evolve them. It's that simple.
As far as making in game coin is concerned I made well over 600 mil doing nothing but catshopping on an alt last month. I started with a mil. Yes it takes time and effort and attention but that's how it is. If you are unable to make in-game coin I suggest you start by finding out wth is wrong with you because it isn't the game.
Now about people ripping off others. I blame the one who gets ripped off as much or more the one who is ripping off people. It takes 2 people to make a transaction and if some are allowing themselves to be ripped off then they really should take responsibility for it. After all, doing that may induce those getting ripped off to make better choices and pay closer attention to what they are doing in the future.I **** bigger than you...

Ehh, I'll have to agree with what's been said on this thread.
Prior level 100, pets don't really need an evolution. The game content hasn't been changed much or enough that made pets useless before lvl100. Pets can still perform well and adequately.
Hercules can still tank most of the bosses and enables you to solo most of the instances and for those who don't own one, they can sill solo/pet tank a lot of things with a good Glacial Walker.
The major problem was endgame where pets became essentially useless other than sending them in to pull or throw a debuff before they die. Summoning the pet in most situations became more of a burden than a help and in PvP they only tickled. All the Phoenix ended up being good for was a 3 second stun before it'd die.
As for the new pets, information has been out and people already knew the new pets will be from the boutique. Yes, I know you weren't around for this but I'm just saying. They don't render the previous legendary pets obsolete though, so it's not a necessity to buy them.
I only think the daily should have been available for all. Non level 100 Venomancers could use the stars to feed their pets or just save them.

The one thing that bothered me about the veno update was that my Nix can not become a land/water/air pet until 100. It's actually my main pet but I can't use it in any instances while it's just an air pet.
I think the 4 pets out of the boutique should be all terrain pets from level 1, especially when you consider how much they cost.0 -

I'm another old school veno.. I was there on my veno before hypers and BH's. We leveled the old fashioned way. I took some time off and then came back when hypers were starting out and leveled insanely easy.

I also have a sin and if I see someone brambled I either target someone else or go IG through it.
And for those QQing about wanting an evo system for lower leved pets... why? I got my herc to 100 the old fashion way. I got a few other pets into the 90's the old fashioned way. Why don't you work your rear off to get to 100 and THEN take advantage of the fact that you can now have one more weapon in your arsenal to use to level your pets up a little easier. Think of it as a reward for working your butt off to get to 100 ..... oh wait you don't have to work your butt off anymore to get there .... spoiled brats b:chuckle0 -

Normally people that are not lvl 100 get a herc first for that reason, nix was mainly a PVP pet, PVE people not lvl100 should not go for the nix first, if really they want a legendary pet they should get the herc and use a sawfly for flying pet. I've been playing my veno for 3 yrs. I work for what i want. Jolly jones basically hands u lots of coin at lower level. I had to do quest and grind for things and level my pets the hard way. I spent alot of time in room 4 of the cube with my walker before my herc and then with my herc til i grinded map 3 lol. Mind you i was 101 before i got the herc and Nix...so try leveling them then wasn't that easy! Todays venos have it easy ijs. b:victoryuntamed_pain demon veno 103-100-101

Game is unfair to anyone who doesn't CS. You learn to adapt, if you want to have the new toys and new systems then you need to work for it. I'm not saying I wasn't grouchy when I missed out getting the new spirit form when it came out ~ trust me, I was hyped until it read level 100 only and I was a mere 4 levels away from it.
I have it now.
I love it.
So yes, it was great for me to try out the new system when it came out. Do I want other venos to have things handed to them on a silver platter? No. Why? I worked my butt off to get where I am the "normal" way. DQ/Quest/BH - you name it I likely did it to get where I am. When DQ changed, I had to reform a plan. Now with hypering, things are super easy as it is for any newbie. You have coin quests that spew money into your pocket and all you have to do is either talk to someone or kill 10 mobs (tell me is it STILLhard to survive in this game?). Anyone else right now who have reached endgame by farming old school feel crapped on because of these quests given to lower levels. So think of that before saying how unfair it is for younger classes.
((lvl 70+ = 700-800k coin daily ~ oh yeah, everyone is poor now!))
If you want the new toys, save up for them, but I'll be definitely mad if PWI decides to make the herc and nix tamable to make it easier for little venos to feel better.

I have only evolved my Herc so far but in doing so my Herc is now a land, air and water pet. So you do not have to buy the ones in the boutique for that unless you are under 100. So basically if you already have a legendary pet I wouldn't purchase one...just work to evolve the ones you have IMO.b:victory0 -

Yeah, the new legendary pets are wonderful and nice to have around but they aren't a necessity so unless you really want one of them (like I saved for the Harpy) there isn't much of a reason to spend so much coin/gold for these new ones. At least, not until we get a sale of some sort.

Lol, you people definitely remind me of some old folks whith "we had hard lives, why on earth should they have it easy" attitude. Like, we starved, lived in dugouts and walked barefoot, and now they want to have a second pair of shoes! b:laugh To me, these old people definitely have a point, but it is not to stop the growth and development in this world.
And I don't even mind levelling pets the old way, even though it's a pain unless it's my main tank which I use all the time. But I wouldn't mind, say, bying pet exp cubes for tokens or from catshops anyway. I wouldn't mind the evolution system for lower levels just because more content=more fun. So I was mostly hoping for new content for 80s-90s, but it didn't happen unfortunalely. Being lvl 80s bores me out of my skull, as all I do is dailies and realm of reflection, and finding a squad for bh69 seems more challenging than 69 itself b:faint0 -
It would have been nice if the Veno dungeon was available to all venos, not just the 100+ ones.
Farming orbs to feed pets for xp would be very handy, as in most cases the veno quickly outlevels the pet a great deal, thus rendering the pet less effective against the things the veno is fighting.0 -
^^ dont get me wrong - the Stars do help to level the old, neglected pets, as what I wanted to add before about the veno dungeon, now THAT I'd like to see because it is a hassle from time to time especially with opinions of pets for a veno changes so much so sure its hard for that.
And the fact that once you evolve both herc/nix it makes it even better to help younger levels with the waterbosses such as Goshiki end boss (admit we dont all like using the plumpfish) DoD, Nightspike Bloodguard etc.
I just dont want venos to be sad about the new pets and think they need to have them as if its
a MUST. Like Desdi and Rightcard mentioned, the old legendary pets are just as fine.
So far I've crossed only 2 venos who have both monkey kings - dont know if one has the harpy as well. So either more are saving for them or no one really wants to go through the hassle of saving up 10k items for them. I'm exhausted just thinking about it LOL!

Would have been really nice... ever since I saw the evolved forme of the frogling, I knew I wanted to get one, and the stars have made a big difference in helping him level up faster... would be nice for a lower level veno to be able to do that, too. Enough dailies are around now for little venos to level up really fast without FC until "appropriate levels"(whatever that means), but their pets really cannot reasonabily keep up after a while, and.. yeah. It would have helped them out a bunch, especially if they want to have more than one pet. Pet leveling has always been one of the banes of venos, and assistance with leveling the pets while leveling themselves(their veno selves) would have been welcome.
Don't think evolution is nessesary until 100, though. It was a PvP at high gears problem, not a PvE at low levels problem. (though if I remember right, I was having issues with pets in PvE instances at... 80+? 90+? something... like, I always was way sturdier than them but it wasn't an 'ugggghhh.' thing until a bit later.) (so there was an issue around where the game used to 'end', typically )
