Learning Befuddling creeper, spidervine, etc

I have the books and the correct level of spiritual cultivation to learn Befuddling Creeper and Supervine, but when I go to a Mystic Trainer to learn the techniques, I can't.
Under the descriptions of the books it just says "Ask Mystic Trainer to learn how to summon-" but when I go to a Mystic Trainer I have no options for the books. The techniques appear on the skill list but they're greyed out so I can't buy them

How do I use the books to get these techniques?

    Same here, I did the Cultiation quests and got the four books, went to the Mystic trainer, and was unable to train them, it said something about not having the pre-reqisits, but not what they were. It would be nice to know, and I'd appreciate the help.

    Necro, but you need to learn them in a order, if I remember. Try to learn punishing first.

    i know that i have to learn them in order but i did not get the book for punishing sting where can i get the book again.b:angry

    Priestess of the Soul npc gives you a quest called Punishing Sting (duh) that sends you to Beckenast the First Mage in Tellus. Follow that quest and you will need to kill a plant that looks like punishing sting and as a reward you get the book. Same with other plants.
