When returning to character menu I often get the message 'User does not exist' and 'disconnected from server'. This is quite annoying, instead of just switching characters I have to log in again.

    Yup confirmed but this issue mainly pops-up if i'm running the game for more then 30-40 minutes.b:surrender

    I get it quite a bit i just relog lol. Not a big deal.

    Happens to me quiet alot and that is very annoying.

    I have all my AH characters on one account with my main character and have a SL timer from 10 mins, sometimes 30mins.
    When i switch around to collect money or place stuff in the AH i get this almost twice each session from collecting and reinsert in the AH.

    everytime i have to wait the SL and... ugly.


    Here is how it probably will pop up in a few shots:
    Log into your account.
    Log in the game with one character
    Go back to the Character menu, select a different character (happens too when i select the last character too, but is rare) COLOR="Lime"]Chance that it pops up, rare[/COLOR
    Log with the new char in the game
    Go back to the Character menu (delay maybe a few seconds, act like you choose the wrong character) COLOR="Yellow"]Chance that it pops up, sometimes[/COLOR
    Choose a different character or the character you choose first
    Log with new character in the game
    Go back to the character menu COLOR="Red"]Chance it pops up, high[/COLOR

    When it not came after the third try, just do it a few times again, its like choosing characters all the time, switching around, trading and such. It will happen b:shutup

    It usually only happens to me when I am lagging bad and switching char's

    I don't tend to have much lag, but this happens to me a lot. Of course, I play so many characters than I am changing around a lot too. xD

    For the most part it doesn't bother me, but it certainly can be annoying if you were only switching to check the mail, and have to wait on safety lock again.

    I believe this is a server-to-client issue. As you lag, your client-side says (as in the case with rubberbanding) that you logged into the character screen. This is where the server-side comes along and goes "you haven't logged off--oh, wait, you have." Then pop!

    I hate it with passion when I'm in a hurry...stashing gear around or wanting to quickly check mail/pick up things before logging off etc. otherwise I'm fine with it.

    This has happened to me too, it can be rather annoying seeing both My Bm and seeker share the same gear so sometimes when i want to account stash something real quick I still end up having to re-log, I've been meaning to post a thread regarding this but haven't gotten around to it.

    This glitch mainly happens when you log off and on from characters repeatedly and too quickly (like 4 -5 char switches in under 15 secs). For instance when you switch chars to account stash something in a hurry, you log off of one char and then log in to another char, and then log off of that char having not spend much time on the last char that you just logged on.

    this has happened to me many times too but i dont really mind logging in again it would be cool if i got fixed

    The only way that this can really be a problem is if the user is using safety lock for let's say PK, and they want to switch to play an alt and they NEED to be able to use all functions that are unusable when in safety lock.

    What neo said about quickly switching is true.
    Another cause for this to happen is when you run fast into an area and not everything in it is loaded ( for example turn in pw school teacher quest and try to switch char while other players near you have not been loaded -- same for popular bankers in archo). Just let the game load the graphics a few seconds before you switch char and you'll be fine.
    To the guy with 30-40 min issue, get a bigger video memory card ( more MB/GB) and/or RAM.
