So far making progress PWI. Believe it or not some people like it.

Psys are aggravated Seal of Vengeance got a nerf. I have not seen it yet but I have heard the complaints. Sorry SoV was good when 20 people could kill themselves trying to kill a R9 3cast psy? Anyone else see a problem? Just by shooting at it or attempting to kill it while it continues to destroy a flag carrier... umm yeah that was begging for the nerf bat. The new updated instances? I got my butt tore off and thrown against the wall hahaha. And I was trying too. Funny stuff I will probably go in there smashed on wine with a group under the same level of intoxication and have a blast.
************Thank you for an actually challenging instance******************
Going to revamp all of the instances? I would buy R9 if everything got revamped. Money well spent and people have to step outside of set AOE, charm up, and "afk restroom." while the boss dies.
I have been a mage for 4 years now and I did enjoy the good old days with the original 6 classes. I found ways to make the "unfair archers" come down to my level so I could show them what a real DPS is capable of. Times have changed and newer classes have been created with more player friendly skills to lead on the future of this game. Some of the older classes, granted updates have been slowly happening, are still quite outdated. Mages are still suffering. I do not know if an update is underway for the mage class but all ears and eyes are open for one. The morai skills helped. Truthful statement. Arcane Defense could stand to take effect during skill based attacks but as you said the system was designed on an old odd code that isn't as accepting to changes as we would like to believe. The Reversion skills are EPIC!! I do like them. Many ways to make PVP miserable for some folks and put them into their place. PVE still has some barriers to overcome to meet the new classes. Manifest Virtue, granted I do not have the skill, doesn't seem to have enough effect based on what I was reading. I also do not know if it stacks with spark. That is something I am wondering about. The main issue that I have for wizards is just the channeling to damage output ratio. I am perfectly fine with long channeling. Actually I could stand to see longer channeling if damage % off of spells was amplified. New era armor and gems offset what higher damage wizard skills would have done in the older days. Older days wizards one shot players quite easily so I could understand the damage it dealt back in those days. Now days the long channeling for almost effect-less damage has fallen behind the newer classes. Taking on a psychic with white voodoo up is quite difficult while he returns more damage than you would normally deal without voodoo defense. Dragons Breath also holds no contest to the Seeker's Vortex. There really isn't much to say beyond Vortex strikes twice as often and twice as hard as Dragon's Breath while the Seeker wears heavy armor and is effected by Blood Paint. Other mage abilities are also lacking in damage vs channeling in comparison to the newer caster's damage vs channeling ratios. The main point of my observation is to see if there are any plans to update the wizard class and the suggestion is to increase the channeling and damage output. Yes, spells take longer to channel, while increasing the damage each individual spell causes. As pointed out earlier in this post, new armor prevents easy "One shot" kills against most decently geared players and actually makes it almost impossible for mages to even dent players with the additional equipment. This is also noticeable in PVE when comparing damage outputs to newer caster classes as well.
My over all understanding and personality of a mage was "if it looks like it is trying to shoot you... DONT STAND THERE AND FIND OUT!" The excessive channeling was your invitation to not stand down field of the barrel of PWI's famous and notorious "rail gun" sniper class. I am hoping to one day see that again and feel that status of people scattering from the blast zone or all jumping on me to prevent serious damage rather than just ignoring the mage community. b:irritated
I really do appreciate the efforts PWI has been making towards updating this great game. World of Wa rcraft has knockdowns... knockbacks... infinite dungeon que system... and a ton of other bells and whistles, while some are actually good, most distract from a lot of the gameplay. PWI has maintained it's status as one of the most socially dependent games I have played. I really hope to remain part of the player community of this great game; as do a lot of us.

tl;dr +1
Though i didn't know about SoV nerfHumankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost.0 -
I'm a psy and for the life of me I haven't noticed a nerf. A sin killed himself on reflect just today.
And to be honest, I don't exactly think sov of all things needs a nerf. Oh yes, it can be problematic when there's a gear gap, but it's pretty much a joke on equal geared opponents. Hell, I've been pleasantly surprised on the whole at how shockingly balanced psys end up when both the psy and the opponent are equal geared, as psys suffer from DPH attacks and the majority of classes actually do have a way to deliver DPH hits neccesary. If anything I'd question the proc rate of Sosi being neccesary, but I think most can attest to psys being easily kill able, Sosi or no.
As for the complaints about an out geared opponent vs a psy? Of course it's a problem, but I'm not exactly sure how they could possibly fix it without making all soul force skills an absolute joke for psy.
And I dunno what Lala land you're living in where wizards can't out-DD the newer classes...I AGOREY0 -
yeah SoV is ok the way it is, the problem when you have same gear as the psy is SoS b:chuckle, realy annoying
wizards were never about dps, they are all about dph and they do hit hard enough,
http://pwcalc.com/d1148f528ba29131 this is my build and an equaly geared wiz can 1 shot me unbuffed
people still run when they see a wizard casting any of the 3 ultis, its just that archer is better on mass pvp because of higher dps(qs proc and a purge can kill almost any AA or LA) and longer range0 -
An unbuffed arcane with +10 everything has like 5k pdef...Elena Costel: I wash my hands of this affair.
Legerity: *drags you back* *stains your hands with said affair*
Elena Costel: Noooo... I don't want to have a dirty affair with Lady Legerity...

On the arcane R999 (at least the wiz) the bonuses are all Phy def.
To make up for that some of his HP shards should be Garnets.
He's got all HP shards (except one set of 4 vits).
Also his ring isn't boosted up yet and his cube neck is 1st level.0 -
Soo agree with the post. Wizard really need upgrade of some kind. Pretty sure after tideborn came out lots of wizards just quit. And later Seekers Vortex was like K.O. I think that right now there really no place for this class in the game there's always someone better than Wiz. I hope sometime soon they will do something for Wizards too as it was done for Veno.0
