If guys are nice to me on my female toons i let them be. If they wanna give me present i let them. If theyre flirting i let them and just dont go on the same track. And then , if were in squad with other or in fac or norma chat i just pass by giving a hint that im a guy. They usually just laugh xD But hey, PWI is NOT a dating game and people who are THAT stupid thinking every female toon ingame is the same in RL deserves it.

It makes me way more aggresive if im pmd by female chars on my male toons. Not every male player is a pervert and i wont give away anything just because theres a female toon telling me how hot my sin looks when im actually playing a seeker.

But more seriously, the practice of pretending being a female just to get items and coins (but also possibly monster cleanup) in a MMO is much low and terrible.

I've stopped caring about the gender of people playing this game. My only wish for relationships in this game is friendship, if I can find any.
I kind of twitch when I read mushy lines on chat, since the possibility it is fake can be true, like nicely explained here.

Yes, yes, I know, it's all about freedom in a MMORPG such as this one. The risk is real too.
I hate bots and scammers with a passion, but it doesn't prevent me to think that if one is not careful enough to avoid being fooled over simple tricks, there is not much left for them around there in terms of safe territories. b:surrender

In any MMORPG, there are people who are willing to scam others, cheat, lie, etc...use any advantage that they can in order to achieve the objective(s) that they desire.

With that being said, if you're flirting on an MMO, you need to know the risks, and before giving things away to that person that you think is the person of your dreams, you should already be at point of level where you do know this for a fact. (I know a couple that did meet and fell in love in PWI, and things are working well between them, but they made sure to know each other a lot more before falling for each other more.

If you give things away to a PIXELATED character that you never met before, under the pretense that the person looks exactly or nearly identical to them, you NEED TO WAKE UP, and understand the risk that you're taking. If you want companionship, you'll find it easier in real life. I don't feel sorry for someone that fell for pixelated **** and butts. Don't give things away to a character simply because of their looks and the fact that you think they're hawt!!!...or that you've got a chance of being with them. That's just not wise or prudent.

I'm also going to point out that not all characters that play female toons, whilst being male are out to try to scam or try to trick another player. I play a female cleric because I want to, and I chose to design her as I did. I don't want the attention that some people try to give me either. I've literally been standing there on my ninetails mount, looking at the auction house. My character is in her Seraphic Mist dress.

Random guy: I'm in...

Myself (At first thinking it was a friend of someone that I helped whose name I didn't recall): Huh? You're in what?

Random guy: I'm in Love...with you!!!!!

Myself: b:spit <---Female character, Male player. I'm a straight man, and I'm not interested. Thank you for the compliment on my character though.

Random guy: WHATTT??!!!?? Why you playing a female character then? You tricked me!!!! You don't need to play a female then.

Myself: I chose a female character because I wanted to, and for no other reason. That's the choice that you have in an MMO. How'd I trick you? I didn't message you. I wasn't bothering you. I was looking at prices on Auction House, when you messaged me. You fell in love with pixels....PIXELS, and once you messaged me I told you immediately that I'm a male. So how did I trick you.

Random guy: You tricked me!!!! Scammer.

See, some people are going to hit on whatever they see, but that's dangerous for themselves...and in that example that I showed that happened to me, I'm clearly not a scammer, not was I seeking any attention.

I also STRONGLY ADVISE any females NOT to get on Skype or give away any information to social sites unless it is someone that they truly know, or trust. I do have a few facebook friends who are PWI friends. A girl or woman getting on Skype or any other camera communication to prove she's a female to some random person is dangerous to her.

No one should be lead by hormones. Use your brain. Male or female, use your brain...especially when dealing with MMO's and online sites. You giving things away to a stranger with pixelated ****, or with pixelated muscles based strictly off of appearance is absurd, so KNOW the risks. Use your brain.

I'll feel sorry for someone who's been scammed by someone leading them on for an extended period of time, but I don't feel so sorry for a lot of people getting scammed into wanting to be with a person because those pixels look cute. I also disagree with it giving real females a bad reputation. In any event, you want to be safe, and protect yourself. Failing to do so is the fault of themselves...and a MMO is not really the place to go looking for love.

Also, I can't make my voice high pitched or feminine. I'm bass and my voice is too deep. b:laugh Lol. (If only some guys in the game would realize that without trying to blow me kisses and blushes. b:cry b:infuriatedb:angry

I remember how I made pretty Venomancer few years ago ... and how one panda fall in love with her ... I had attacked low level boss with my battle pet and he: "Can I help you ?"

She could not fly yet and he said: "Can I embrace you ?"

I could not say to him, that it is ugly to me and just run from him.

Must admit, that I had deleted those Venomancer already.

all these socially awkward ugly duckling kids running around dating pixels are laughable at best. even adult are doing it, in every mmo known to man with a marriage system and it will get worse with that new dating system.

i've made some decent friends in this game, i refuse to court the idea of in-game marriage or relationships. i understand there are plenty of people with disabilities who basically live vicariously through the game and that is the only exception i could see.

if you take in-game relationships too seriously without some exterior interaction, you get what you asked for!!

Its not the people that try something in here that are losers, its the one that judge them imo.

Whole life is a dating game, your job, school, park, courtroom, bus etc etc and so is game, everything is allowed and legit and only difference between making successful relation with a girl/guy you met in a game or a club is the difficulty level and the way you're gonna handle it.

I never approached a girl at work or school and got: 'HEY this is not a dating place', and then got introduced to special areas in town where you are allowed to meet people and try and date them.

You never know where your real love one is and where are you gonna meet them, that's why they call it a big search, and I know quite a few people even in this game that made it actually work perfectly in real life later, so its not them that should get a life, its you for poor judgment of other people.

As for the **** up, what, it does not happen in real life either? I am sure each and everyone of us that dated more than 2-3 people in real life got screwed at least once real bad over something.

The one you could be talking to could fake his/her profile on social sites, give you a fake e-mail address (so another contacts you), give you pictures of someone else, troll you under his/her real personality, etc.

When you're confronted to someone in reality, you can act directly and respond without too much a barrier to the one in front of you. Of course laws, education and cultural boundaries still are in the equation.

Online interactions allow you to act different, some end acting like pricks while they could maybe be more of the quiet or fearful type. Others could incarnate someone really different.
It's like for anything else, it is just a double-edged blade, with issues even something that game management members will never be able to solve properly, even when it comes to scams... Too much grey water there.

Well I fully agree, but I think you missed my point, I was not talking about scams, just in generally some people need to insult and judge people that find their bf/gf/friends over the game.

And don't think scams don't happen irl, good friend of mine start dating a girl who after a while told him she has cancer and need money for a surgery, he sold his car and gave her some other savings then he dumped him. Some people will say he is an idiot, I just think he is naive good person that fell in love, it can happen anywhere.

Ofc you need to be careful, but, if other people wanna meet their w/e in an online game, let them be instead of wasting your time proving how your life is much better because you don't?

whether or not you think im being overly judgmental, these problems happen when people think they can replace real life with this game ****. i know a few people who have had meaningful relationships start thru the game, i'm not 100% against it, but in this instance i find the VAST MAJORITY of players are either deluded or pathetic. most if not all the scams involve some lonely kid trying to live vicariously through some pixels, and they extend so much trust to people he doesn't physically know or have access to.

anyone has been scammed by a guy pretending to be a girl got what they asked for because they didnt bother to actually really get to know that person or verify their identity. it also happens in real life and its the same exact pretext: desperate guy lets himself be fooled because he's too needy to be careful.

and i'm not a pickup artist, i'm just a real life person. i feel bad for people who have the ability to go out in the world and live, but choose not to. there are disabled people all over this game who actually NEED(or its just a bit easier to let themselves shine) this sort of format to remove their disabilities from the equation. don't be a lame, enjoy the sunlight.

Of course that in reality there are bigger scams out there and it is much terrible hearing good people being fooled out of love for a backstabber. I didn't feel the need to go into that sort of theme/debate.
That said, anyone can backstab you, even your close family and children, if they are driven by greed alone.

Deceit in MMORPGs could be seen as less serious since you'd only lose characters and items.
That said, the dedicated time and maybe money going poof at once can be disastrous to some.
Better investigate well before trying to go on a more serious way of things. It's true it can lead to true friendship or love, but that only happens once in a blue moon. If that really works in the end, I can only wish happiness to such people.

I've said over and over i wouldnt make a female character because of all the testosterone induced pixel fornicators out there, as such experienced in the first mmo I played years ago, but I decided to make one to use as a catshop on my other account.

I was hoping times have changed, but alas they have only gotten worse. I decided o experiment and write down the results. We all know how fast one can level in this game now, but within the first 15 levels my newly created female character received from male characters:

7 different people saying "hi or, hello"
2 invites to factions
5 "hi or, hello" with the added "you (u) M/(or)F?"
2 "hi want buffs?"
1 "hi, u need to be carried anywhere?"

Of those, the ones asking if I was a male or female, a couple of the guys were a bit incessant with their asking, then followed by more "hello"s and "why no answer?"

Now, also I decided to make another male character (want to go sage as opposed to my main which is demon), same starting city. First 15 levels, not one whisper.

So, 1. Ladies I feel for you, if the above **** happens a lot,and 2. Guys, you give us a bad name and I guess, I can see why female characters get free items from overly horny guys.
