So, i tried to post a comment on the last news post and this is what i got. Is it a bug or was it intended?

I suppose they shut down the comments, because there are 0 comments for this and the last 2 posts.

Sure they can do what they want but for me it looks like censoring o.O.

Hmm ... but maybe i just got something wrong, please correct me then b:victory

    Which is hilarious, because this is the descendant of the Core Client, which never got out of beta a year and a half ago. They just changed the name to Arc, and said it's not beta anymore. In reality, this might as well be alpha.

    Hey guys,

    It's true we've turned off comments on news posts, at least temporarily.

    We've been having issues engaging players via the comments system in our news posts, and we're in the process of finding a better method of maintaining communication with everyone regarding our news items.

    I've got a couple ideas on how best to deal with this in the mean time, and we'll keep working to ensure that everyone can be heard and have a meaningful dialogue with us.

    Sir,

    You may turn off comments if you want, no problem. But, may I suggest that you delete the "Post Comment" script from the page ? That seems to cause the confusion. Thank you.

    If you mean, you're having difficulties RESPONDING to comments, I think its better to keep it as is.

    Most of the comments in the "NEWS" section are either QQ or contains vulgar,abusive content if PWI has disabled it for the sake of it then it's a positive step for the reputation of this game. But they took long time to take up this decision. b:surrender

    Yeah, the in the news section almost nobody stays on topic. It's just random shouting that has nothing to do with anything. And if you do get a reply going, it gets buried pretty fast. I never liked it, and tried not to use it.

    Why disable world-chat from game it is 1 of the most vital thing in game? for forming squad,selling anything etc... without world-chat everything will almost stop working.
    I agree that sometimes there are vulgar,abusive,obscene chats on world-chat, but to avoid that you have "Block" option. Take screenshot of that particular player who is doing it get him banned, if someone is even lazy to do this simple thing then god only helps those who help themselves.     b:thanks

    I can deal with WC through my blacklist temporarily if it gets to annoying but those perfect horns b:angry is what nearly drove me insane...

    I actually joked about disabling it, since its absolutely horrible. And I did report some idiots (those who are often using wc ) but pwis automatic answer and 3 days waiting really pisses me off, so I just block as you said

    but disabling comments and leaving world chat without even caring about it is like " we don't ****ing care if players are annoyed because we are not there -_-

    Well the support team consists of 12-15 people handling all titles of PWE, so it takes time to answer the tickets & they also have priorities to the issue, for e.g if someone is having problem with login or account recovery they'll take care of it first. Then they'll look at any kind of violation related issue. As for immediate reports of chat spam, please be sure that it's pervasive or at least exceedingly atrocious.

    90% of the comments posted were negative. That's a bad look for PWI. Especially to investors. I would have shut it off too. I'm sure that's the real reason it's off. Either way I could care less. All games are like this. Negativity is just something you have to deal with.

    I still don't understand what is wrong with the horns? I just drag the window to a spot on my screen where it doesn't get in the way. Horns don't bother me as much as everyone else for some reason.

    I think negativity truly is an issue (especially in f2p games), but it is possible to lower the number of occurrences (and possibly severity) of this negativity. See the experiment done here by another game:

    I didn't care for Core Client, and I won't care for Arc. But to deny a person to download the game DIRECTLY is downright pathetic. Sure, keep the Arc option, but allow people who DO NOT WISH to use Arc to be able to download the game. I feel this is very negligent in part of the company as new and old players alike would feel that they are being hounded to download other games. If I wanted to check things, I would much rather use a secure browser like Mozilla Firefox and something that I'm not familiar with which may have hidden issues within the internal browser. I am certain that other players may be just as cautious and skeptical about the internal system as well.

    I just wondered.... if pwi is later only able to be run/opened through Arc, will people be able to dual client anymore at all? *doesn't have Arc so sorry if it's an obvious yes OTL*

    That's a really good point, and it's something we're definitely keeping in mind as we transition over to Arc.

    Why force people to use Arc instead of direct download? Maybe keeping both options open is the way to go. What REAL benefits come from Arc? I have it downloaded, but very rarely use it, because it doesn't seem to provide anything to make me want to use it.
