Can GMs play on the server like any normal players??

Hello, i would like to have the confirmation by a mod : does gm play with and against us in the server as player ? ty

    You said "play the same as a normal player" anyone can do this. You DIDN'T say; "create a toon and then use GM hax to make it OP", that's... a GM toon, sometimes they can be found in major cities around the servers (rarely). They have GM next to their name... sort of hard to mistake.
    I'm sure if a GM wanted to play the game (without having GM next to their name) they would have to play it the same way everyone else does and work for their stuff.

    SO... you are saying thats possible ? that a gm can make op his toon with a GM hax O_O

    Have you never seen a GM toon? they have a hax sword that one shots someone and a cape that basically protects them from all damage, they ARE hax. But they aren't a normal player! They are a GM, they have GM next to their name, they are not apart of any of the factions of the server, they don't do bh's or PvP (that I know of) they don't PLAY the game, they come in and check up and create good PR with players. That's it.

    GM's have a (nearly) invincible toon. They are prohibited from using it to kill mobs or anything except in special circumstances (like someone dragging Jewelscalen to a town).

    Many GMs do play the game normally but they have to use a separate regular toon, they can't use any GM powers to help themselves.

    I think most Mods and GMs have done what most the player base has done. They used to be active but have tired of the game and so you rarely see them in game anymore. They still do the rest of their job just aren't actively playing, still.

    If anyone who was in Lost City and was in Conqueror long enough, you probably already knew this small story, but it's been soooo long in trying to remember all the details.


    There was a GM way way back in 2008 or 2009. I think probably bearclaw if I'm not mistaken.

    But anyway, the GM was asking one of the guys in my guild in PM's how to do a specific cultivation in Old Heavens Tear and some other game mechanics that escape my thought process. Kuschel, I think was the guy in the guild at the time who had encountered this GM.



    I honestly think they do play just like regular players, or at least try to. I know Ironman from Lost City was a good example of interacting with the players in a fun way, especially when he would bust out his PK mode skillz f:ouch

    A gm does not need to +12 their gear and shard it. They can simply use thier gm gear sneeze and one shot the game.

    If a gm abuses their power and creates things for their personal toon, they can do that. Are they allowed to do it? I am guessing not.

    What fun is a game if you cheat your way to the top?

    Is this the new accusation now? +12 josd players must have gm main or gm as friends b:chuckle.

    Odds are that the GMs who do play {PWi} Have (atleast) 2-accounts


    1- Is their Official GMs Dutys Roster Account ~ Which should be able to easily pop their characters between the shared servers they monitor, aswell as having all that Expanded Mob Summonings windows options on them for when they're bored (Not to mention their options for dealing with errant players or players being scheduled for meetings for tickets)

    and

    2- A standard everyday Civilian Players Account ~ Which just like all of ours comes with absolutely Jack Diddily Squat on it, which they would be playing on their off-hour times...b:pleased



    I Highly doubt they'd ever be allowed to have 'Standard Player Characters' on their 'Official GMs account' there'd be way to much chance for them to be tempted to use their expanded command abilities to abusingly to keep their 'Civi chari's' always on the up & up with cheat wins & etc. (So I'd be pretty sure that they're monitored on what time they're allowed to be active on their 'GMs accounts' and that their (log-in times) better match their shift times, or else they'd get in to some serious trouble with their superiors & the Admins) b:thanks

    I don't think you should worry about GM-supported toons. First of all it's hardly possible and would be too obvious. Besides, there are so many endgame all max geared players on servers, and they are not GMs for sure. How would it comfort you if you knew that that particular one was a GM abusing his GM abilities to get stuff for his regular char? lol

    Anyone heard of catshops or players dead in Safe zone?
    They say its wbs, they say its treasure hunt boss spawning in the wrong place.....
    But we know the truth!! It was the "rouge GM" swoshing a massive sword around hitting Regular toons for 100m damage.

    Anyone heard of bosses spawning in weird places, or pkers getting sealed by a char which Have no seal ability?

    Yes is the answer. They can play as a normal player. PWI do not allow this tho ingame and so on our servers we do not have GMs that play as normal players...

    A GM can play the game as a normal player and they have access to a system which can deliver any actions that need to be delt with. They can equip normal weapons and gain points like a normal player most GMs are only Lv 1 some are 150 but its the cape and weapon that give the dammage / HP.

    However i would not suggest this as unless you hide your be seen and roll in the PMs / Request ETC. The other thing to keep in mind not all GMs can do all actions.
