I know how silly this idea may sound, and I also know how popular it would be if we had it:P

do you remember that room you are ported to after using makeover scroll? have you ever wished for your own corner, house, where maybe you could invite friends too?


I know few games that have it. I'm talking about room, which you can customize, buy furniture, accesories. In pwi, we don't even have buildings to enter, this does sound weird, but even in game, sometimes you need comfort.

but why do I want it? it will cost 10000000000000000000 gold anyways, this is pwi. Suggestion is suggestion, what do you think about it?

    LOL this idea is impractical in this game. For one, this game has become highly pvp based, as PVE is boring once you hit 100+ and get your end game gear.

    I think you're talking about bases. You cannot add furniture but it is like a giant mansion and you're friends from your guild can all enter.

    And as potato said, please use the search function. It was in the PAY TO PLAY version. GM's have stated it will not be added. Ever.

    Not saying that I support the idea, but the GMs that I saw in your first link, eatwithspoons, is a guy that as far as I know, isn't even around anymore. Fail GM is fail, and there's a reason he's not employed anymore.

    yea, sad to know that your suggestion, is it stupid or not, will not be taken seriously. I doubt designed character house looks sillier than huge, gold fish as weaponb:laugh but this won't happen. This section is useless, but we, poor playas don lose hopeb:sad

    When i said i think you're talking about bases,It meant that's kind of a like a house. And it's the closest thing we will probably ever get.

    The housing system already exists but it is only available to the pay-to-play version of this game, thus it's something we won't ever get.

    Perfect World was originally a pay-to-play game but for whatever reason (maybe it wasn't popular enough?) Wanmei decided to release a free-to-play version.

    They are considered to be two different games as of now as each one of them receive different updates. They probably have a different development team too.

    The updates PWI receives are from the free-to-play chinese version of the original Perfect World.

    Sadly, every MMO gets useless things like this for example sooner or later.

    Why? for What? Why you need it?
    My questions on every housing system a game may introduce. Boring as hell i call it, nothing good and robably wasted time to develop that.

    Seriously, why do you need that? There is no point in that except maybe decoration's items which gives stat points or other effects? Cash Shop even better adds? No thanks.

    Well, fashion is completely useless. It gives you no boost whatsoever, and yet so many people buy it. Some even expend more on fashion than on gear.

    I bet you anything, that if they made a housing system, people would buy decorations to personalize it.

    I guess they don't do the housing system because each house would be like an instance. That would be a lot of instances, so that's why it only works with a pay to play plan.

    Well let me explain:
    You got an Amazing Pool with coctail bar and all that at home, you know its awesome but outside of your home, you cant show it to someone (Except pictures maybe)
    But when you just bought a brand new car for example, you can show it to anyone.

    I think you got that, so having a house and you spend money on it and you cant show it to some random persons, its even more useless, when all the things in your house just look good.
    I mean sure i made a house in a game too and, well i like how it looks, but that only gave me entertaining for like 2 hours.
    Fashion on the other hand, well i change them, i buy new things, look good, try new variations and all that.
    I can hide the ugly equipment i basicly have and yea..

    and oh, i saw it just once with non instance houses and that was kinda expensive to have ingame.

    Fasion -> Fun

    also, another thing (if not personal houses) I wish we had is buildings, like in main cities, which you could enter, with npcs in it

    Anyways, this topic isn't stupid. It's a great and fun idea, but with this game's mechanics, it's just plain impractical. None of the NPC's are even in a house. To me, player houses would feel highly out of place. b:surrender

    Well, maybe it's just me, but I rarely notice people's fashion. I won't stop to see if you have something cool. The only time I stop to see fashion is when I see a femele character that outstands. Only then I check what she has, and then I wonder if that would look on my veno.

    As for the fashion I buy for my veno, I buy it just to see her pretty. I don't buy it so others can see it.

    As for the houses. I think you can invite people inside in the paid version of pw.

    You see your veno all the time and you dont want her to be ugly or not good looking. You want to change outfits sometimes (or in a 5minute interval like some ppl i know..) and thats fine but i see two big differences in having fashion and having a house.
    Houses arent as important, sure you thinking "well my house looks fancy and ppl should see it" and thats fine as it is, but fashion on the other hand, you mainly thinking "i want to look good for myself" and then those other things come into play like if others like it or maybe look you up to see, what you are wearing and want that too.
    For houses, that rarely happens, because random ppl never see your house, only those who are in your friendlist or you invite to your home (well that sounds like a nice friday night to me *giggle*) to check it out.

    either way, its a mixtopinion kinda thing, some ppl love it, some ppl hate it.
    I dont like the idea in having a house in a video game too much except its a game like sims. it fits sometimes but most of the time, in an MMORPG, it doesnt.

    I'm not sure if there was any but I assume they wanted to save some features for the paid version otherwise everybody would have moved to the free one at the time.

    Fashion does have properties,it can make you look good,and it can make you look god awful.
    This game is like washing hair with shampoo... Rinse and repeat if desired.

    On that last paragraph about entering buildings, I read in another post that there is a house in Dragonfang Village (that's in raging tides if anyone wants to know) that has insides. I visited that house the other day and I was surprised at how incredibly detailed it is. Not that it has a kitchen in it or anything useless, it was just a desk with stuff on it. I say that this is much more appealing than the houses in other cities.
    I'm not going to rally for Character Housing, because that definitely looks like a no-show, but it would be nice if the rest of the buildings in PWI had high details like this and weren't just a bunch of collision boxes.
    Yes, I also found it entertaining when someone came inside the house and started dancing on the desk.
