Hi everybody,

I wanted to chime in and let you know what's going on with issues brought up here in the QC. That way, you'll have a clearer idea of what results your feedback has gotten.

First off, most of the issues we've discussed and reproduced internally have been brought to the devs' attention. There's still a pile of other bugs and inconsistencies we're running through. The team is handling as best we can, but we're dealing with multiple big projects at the same time and things are admittedly slower than we'd like to be reproduced & resolved. Rather than keeping you in the dark, I'll readily admit this fact.

Discussions with our devs have gone well and we've managed to get several issues fixed and coming down the pipeline. Keep in mind that MMOs are big moving ships that have a long turnaround time. And of course, things are always subject to change.

- Our devs have agreed to utilize the quest bag for more things in future events.
- The monthly dungeon race ticket will be removed to reduce confusion.
- There should also be fixes to the sounds for the Spirit Fox forms.
- The weapon ***Adversity will receive correct textures.
- Combining Absolute Domain with Ironguard Powder has been deemed a creative use of game mechanics, and is not considered a bug.
- Regarding a bug that sometimes causes players to disconnect from dungeons/Nation Wars when joining as a group, we're aware of the issue. However, finding a fix for it is proving to be especially difficult.
- The double ^^ that appears during chat is a result of the way the color code in chat works and cannot be changed.

This is, of course, not an exhaustive list. Just what we've seen traction on.

Please continue bringing your feedback to us. We'll keep the devs apprised of the situation.

Cheers,
Genotype

Thank you geno for this, this goes a long ways for me and my opinion (for the better). The communication and how things were handled have always been my biggest issue. Being honest about timelines, admitting you work on other projects, and being upfront without trolling the players. This allows me to makes replies that wont get deleted by the mods and/or put me on the "needs to be watched list".

That said i prob will still mess with certain mods out there cause well thats my M.O. b:kiss b:kiss b:kiss

Geno, Val and the rest of this team: thank you for doing what your predecessors failed to do. Dialouge between us and the devs was always spotty at best, but this board helps immensely in that effort. I only wish we had it three years ago. :-/

I wonder, though... how should we solicit discussions with the devs on non-technical issues? Many things which are not technically glitches still impact the game nonetheless. It would be great if we could discuss key issues and know that our consensus is being heard by the devs as readily as these technical issues are. :)

EDIT: Have the devs said anything else about balancing Demon Panda Form to match the Sage version?

Thanks for the update, it makes me (and probably many others) feel like posting bugs in here is worthwhile.

Suggestion, I would think this kind of post would be great stickied as I almost missed it. Especially if these updates are going to happen with any sort of frequency. It's a nice reminder that our feedback is heard, with the downside that you'll probably be expected to update at least every 2-3 months if you do sticky since it gains permanent exposure.

Is this something that would work? If so, it might be a good way to handle the issue. Of course, we don't know their coding methods, this game was made in China. Things might be done a little differently there.

I agree that Val and Geno are the best officials that I've seen here. Many of the things that have come up in the past were handled in a very unprofessional way. I can guarantee that if Val and Geno were around back when things such as Goons and many of the other early mistakes were made, this game would be a different place than it is today.

I'm a sage barb, but I don't understand the QQ over the new demon/sage Panda forms. Demon is 10% lower in terms of movement speed and HP, and instead of the chi boost, demon gets a 5% crit rate increase for 6 seconds. Considering that it's possible to switch between human form and panda form very quickly, I don't see that as a bad trade off.

I don't think there is meant to be a balance in the Panda form in itself. There may seem to be a small imbalance for the moment, but I have a feeling that the big difference will come when the new Panda skills come out.

Well, I don't think it would have made any difference at all in the game, or how the whole situation was handled overall.
We would have felt a lot better about it being kept more informed on what was happening though. That was the biggest problem with previous CM's and GM's. They would either not say anything, say something and then never update it, or would say things that went against what the visions of PWE management were to placate the user base.

Agreed. Does any class have a "balance" between sage and demon?

It's like comparing Sage and Demon Resurrect, and QQing that Sage doesn't cast faster, or that demon doesn't have the extra range.

Honestly, I think that Val does have some influence. He has a number of things that we can thank him for. First off, he has been working to get a Game Advisor program, which has heavy support here on the forums. Geno and Val also seem to take a pretty transparent approach when issues arise, and aren't afraid to give us the truth.

I highly agree with your statement that no class really has any balance between sage or demon. Fail person is fail. If someone is fail, it's human nature to put that off on someone else. No one wants to be wrong. With that in mind, try to correct this. If you die, use it as motivation to improve, not QQ and rage that it's someone being OP.

Same goes for r9. Stop QQing over r9r3 being so OP. You don't have to spend cash on it, it's possible enough to farm in a decent amount of time, especially if you have a sin to solo fc to sell. It just takes more time and effort that way.

Actually, it's generally agreed that venomancer is balanced between sage and demon, with the choice basically coming down to playstyle rather than one culti having a significant advantage over the other.

Hi I don't know If this is where I should post this, but things are getting a little ridiculous. In the Deserted Sea area there is a HUGE problem with botters. FearLegacy and I go there to farm DQ items from the lizards there and almost EVERY day there is a level 101 sin there botting AND hacking at the same time. We report him EVERY day and still he hasn't been punished? And the sin is only one of many we find there! There is a barb that is there a lot and a blademaster. Most of us work super hard to level and spend lots of money on this game so its super annoying when hacks like that out do us because they cheat. Can someone do something about this?? b:angryb:surrender
