How I got into PWI:

Back in May of 2009 (my senior year in highschool), a (now ex-)friend of mine, Xoleras (also known as Alexandrias and Liraela), introduced me to PWI during one of my art classes. Where I went to school, we were given laptops to use during the school year and even take home (we had to pay $100 each year to do that though), so after we were done with our work, Xoleras began playing PWI. I watched him for a bit, but I wasn't very interested. But he kept telling me that I should try it out.

Well, I had never played an online game before, so I gave it a shot. I even remember Xoleras once saying in his XFire status "has fallen in love with PWI" lol. ^^;

I tried it out, and I was really frustrated for the first week or so, because I couldn't figure anything out. Xoleras helped me for the first 5 levels, but the rest, I was on my own. I even (stupidly) took his advice and wouldn't talk to random people that just started talking to me or join random faction invites. I learned later that the game is actually more FUN when you talk to people and learn new things, and join factions lol. I eventually had become addicted to the game and wouldn't try out any other MMOs because I was determined to learn as much about the game as possible, and to become better than Xoleras (I wanted to have a much higher character than his. XD)

I remember that the first faction I joined was Force, around level 24, and I became an Executor around level 27. But around level 35, I had joined a new faction called Avengers. I even remember that it took me 2 weeks to reach level 20! Whereas nowadays, I can reach level 20 in a day...

The very first character I made on PWI was a Venomancer named SailorRocket. I know that sounds like a really weird name, but I'm a Sailor Moon and Pokemon fan lol. I loved Team Rocket from Pokemon, so I named her SailorRocket, after an OC called Sailor Rocket. In my story, she's the future daughter of Jessie and James from Pokemon, but her parents were killed and she was experimented on and tortured by Giovanni, who had heard of the legendary Sailor Senshi and wanted to create his own. After all that torture, Jamie began to turn dark, and so she became an evil Sailor Senshi and tried to destroy the planet. She also learned that she's a distant cousin of Sailor Saturn.

Anyway, getting back on topic, I loved City of the Lost. I love the nostalgia and the music; it's just so COMFORTING! I always go there when I just want to chill and maybe talk to people or something. Either that, or I listen to the City of the Lost music when I'm drawing (which usually makes me want to play PWI when I listen to it lol.)

Even though I've been playing PWI since May of 2009, I still haven't gotten a character past level 84 lol. I LOVE creating new characters and trying different builds or to just play them when I'm bored, or to use them to farm for money. Plus, there were several long periods of time where I went without internet access, and when I WAS playing PWI, my lack of extra (real-life) money to spend on the game to get things I needed was making it hard for me to play the game at the higher levels. I knew I could grind or merchant for money, but I didn't have the time to grind, and I wasn't high enough level to get the really good items that people would pay a lot of money for (and I also wasn't very good at merchanting itself lol). Whenever I DID buy things with real money (fashion or mounts or whatever), I would keep them for about a month, and then become so desperate for coins, that I had to end up selling them. Seriously, I've owned the Scarlet Ninetails 3 times, and I had to sell it each time.

Well, that's enough of that lol. On to the screenshots! XD

(I've never made a screenshot thread before, so I've been looking at other people's threads to see how they're doing it. XD)

Anyway, I LOVE taking screenshots with the game's settings maxed; sometimes I won't max them just for the sake of a quick screenshot (like when I'm fighting or browsing through a city or whatever), but a lot of times, I like to take pretty screenshots~

Well, here's my first few screenshots~

In this one, I had made a new Mystic. (I can't seem to like them for some reason...So, after a long time of not playing one, I decided to try again, but this time, turning her into my Gargoyles OC, Mink.) This was the first time that I noticed those sparkles at the entrance to the Fissure. I thought it was so PRETTY that I HAD to max the game's settings and take a screenshot! XD

I don't know why, I honestly don't, but I really wanted to take a screenshot of the Spire of Awakening. Or at least this part of it lol. I need to take screenshots of it in different areas too. XD

The Nightfire Altar~ I took this quite a long time ago (maybe in December of 2012?) and I don't think I maxed the games' settings for this one. XD But I still love it lol. ^^;

I LOVE the Lake of Blood so much. It's so pretty and I love the music. I don't think I maxed the game's settings in this screenshot....But I took this one not too long after the Nightfire Altar screenshot above.

City of Raging Tide - one of my favorite race cities! Not only do I think it's pretty, but I LOVE the music too! XD

Etherblade a third time. ^^;;;; I kinda like this one better out of all of my Etherblade screenshots. XD

South-western Archosaur. For some reason, I've always loved screenshots with the setting sun in them like this. XD

Southern Archosaur - I just like seeing places from a bird's eye view. XD

Took this one with my Seeker, Flerendra, around New Years.

My brand-new Mystic, PrincessMink, who's based off my Gargoyles OC, Mink, who's the niece to Lord Oberon.

I just created her last night!

My alt-Assassin (that I don't play anymore), Tsukurimi (which is Japanese for sliced fish or something like that lol). I just LOVE sunset shots! XD I created Tsukurimi sometime in January. ^^; But then I went back to my old Assassin, MissPepsi, because I just liked her better. XD

An old deviantArt ID of my Blademaster, TRJames, who's based off of James from Team Rocket from Pokemon. XD;;; (He was my favorite character in Pokemon. ^^; )

I can see them, I think it's just photobucket derping up again. <_< They still haven't fixed the fact that they can't direct link images anymore for some reason. Photobucket bad.

< Not your fault for using them, though. I prefer imageshack, personally, they don't resize my images and actually link correctly, and their interface isn't as flashy. Imgur is good too.

Still, brilliant screenies! b:pleased You must have an excellent graphics card and a nice screen to get such clear shots!

If you get a chance, look up at the sky texture just outside of Tellus during the day time, or look into that shallow pool of water around that one glowing white tree on the Tides starting island. Such beautiful textures, particularly in that pool when the tree's white leaves fall on the water's surface.

Jeremied had asked if I could take some screenshots of the sky texture just outside of Tellus City, so here they are! ^^ I'll get to the glowing tree in the Tideborn area later. (I thought that tree was pretty too! XD ) There's so many places that I want to take screenshots of that I just can't get to them all at one time. ^^;;

That's all of the sky ones. I took some extra screenshots while I was there. This one you'll have to click on and enlarge, because it's kinda hard to see the cool effects the sun makes on Flerendra in the resized version. XD

I'm in love with the very first screenshotb:laugh they are all so good.

What I love in your screenies is that they aren't too flashy. That's what I hate in screenshots. Your screenies are realistic (of course for pwi lol) and beautiful. They relax me instead of making me mad. rofl I do get tired when I look at picture with flashing light everywhere. Keep doing your jobf:victory

My friendly advice is: I saw only screenshots and didn't read what you wrote as intro, but I'd love to see colored text as intro, or however it's called. With font, style and color you like. It does attract screenshot section lovers. If you can't make it yourself, I'm sure there are lots of people who will make one for you

Colored text? I never thought of doing anything like that. XD (I'm going to look at other people's threads to see how they do it. That's how I learn, is by looking at what other people did or how they're doing it or whatever. XD )

Of course it's better (yea it's me lol) but if you want this photoshop text of your name, just let me know. I've never made it for forums but I do make texts. And since I'm not experienced, i use my trick to make it look like text doesn't have background. Just let me know what colors you like and I will make it for you:)

oh sorry for multiposting, I just tried to make one, just, for fun. This is my first try so i think it's pretty good for first tryb:laugh I don't know how it will look on forums page or what format to use, so I'm seeing it here for first just like you

please tell me if you won't like anything, it means a lot to me

and if you will use it, you won't need forum color text. No colored text will look good, with font you like, but now you will need one color you love, since text is colorful itself:)

only be afraid if forum color will change lol, just saying xD
