for people who like to pk toons that don't have a chance. i'm talking about the pk rooms in the cube of fate. not rooms 14 or 34 where pk'n earns you the dice but the other pk rooms like jail where i have seen high level toons camp the room so each time i enter boom dead start over. so what i suggest is when a high level attacks a much lower level say 15 levels or more lower there is a chance that the hand of fate comes down from the sky and smashes
the hi level into a pancake sending them back to the beginning. 15 levels lower = 15% chance of them getting hit +1% for each level lower. so if a 103 wants to pick on a 53 there a 50% chance he will be the one starting over. i don't mind a fight as long as it's fair.

    The pancake should stay there for 10 seconds so you can dance on top of them and laugh.

    You can laugh about it all you want, but this is a terrible idea that will never be implemented. What's to stop lowbies from camping out in there and harassing higher level players into attacking them?

    well i think it's a terrible idea to have pk rooms on non pk servers with the exception of rooms 14 and 34 where you must pk or pay to pass, why not have something in place to make the "hi-bies" think twice about attacking easy prey. as far as harassing someone into attacking you, how is fair to the lowbie that did nothing to provoke an attack in the first place can be one shotted by some creep just so they can have a laugh? they can also make it so if the lowbie initiates the fight they're on their own no hand of fate to possibly save them. how do you know this will never be implemented? are you part of the dev team? no. by your reaction i'd guess your one of the people that caused me to have this idea in the first place. if you are hopefully one day you will be a pancake. b:chuckle

    Part of the challenge in cube is dealing with the PK enabled rooms and being prepared to die in them regardless of if that's the explicit requirement of the room or not. Otherwise, the only rooms that would be PK enabled are the three (yes I'm counting the PK room in advanced cube) rooms that have killing an opponent as the goal.

    Personally, I'm against this as even when I do cube on something below 90 I just see PK enabled rooms as another obstacle and nothing more. Besides, there are easy ways to get around this for a couple of classes and it would be far too easy to exploit either way.

    I find this a pretty hilarious solution to quite the annoying problem. But like all things it's subject to abuse. At the end of the day, cube is no longer required so if you really hate the challenge there isn't any reason to go there. Back when it was necessary to complete your culti, I felt pretty strongly about that matter but now that it's solved, I think you be aware of what you're getting into when you to a place like that.

    Well there is still PK events, areas it's just that pve servers do not require you to pk if you don't want to. If you do a pk daily, or a pk event, then ofc you can expect that someone might pk you. They actually did used to require people PK to finish their culti, by forcing them into the cube. But they have changed that and there isn't non-optional pk anymore.

    Actually, being on a PvE server doesn't mean that you aren't going to be subjected to PvP. The official definitions from PWI are:
    PvP Server

    Level 1-29: Between these levels the users are not permitted to enter PK mode. They cannot attack or be attacked by other players.

    Level 30 and higher: These levels are free to PK. Once users become this level they are flagged for PVP. There is no way to turn it off but areas like cities will still be considered safe zones and will be PK off.

    PvE Server

    Level 1-29: Between these levels the users are not permitted to enter PK mode. They cannot attack or be attacked by other players.

    Level 30 and higher: These levels are free to PK but in order to do so the player must activate it themselves. In this way a user will not have to PK if they do not want to unless they enter areas that require PK like territory wars.

    As you can see, the definition explicitly states that users will have to pk if they enter areas that require PK. The only difference is that you can choose to not activate pk mode.
