It's only a % chance unless you level it 10, and it can't be used in the air either. It's useless in air fights, and only really effective on a STR genie which imo implies a 1v1 set up.

Who did you try it against? It can be evaded with Tidal Protection which Sins Seekers and BMs are all capable of using.

Virulent poison and Dissolve are the only effective chi drain skills against R999 casters, mantle gets purified too easy against them haha. They complement each other so it's nice to combo them together. All 3 can be used against HA/LA though, and it's un-stoppable (Tri-Disaster).

My PvP guide is a bit out-dated, it's only current up for R9 first cast, I'll probably need to update it soon.

It's really useful when you're out of chi yourself and right before you white tea or cloud you can drain the enemy of like 1-1.2 sparks for only 45 energy. Works really well in 1v1 against r999 casters that depend on ultis to kill.
