Hello's all b:bye
I am old PWi player checking back on how the things are going.
Was thinking of playing PWi again, but first wanna see and hear whats new.
So the usual questions, about leveling, gear, pvp, new classes.
Oh and yeah are still attack speed and -att the OP's in this game
(I've stopped playing since the first Hyper stones came, aka a bit later after sins and Psychic came)

Leveling is mostly still done through FC
Gear currently is up to G16 nirvana and rank 9 3rd cast, where obviously R9 3rd cast has a big advantage.
PVP: TW and Nation Wars, the latter there's a bunch of QQ going on about the proc that is on casters R9 3rd cast weapon, purify spell, if it's OP or not and if it should be nerfed.
Besides that I don't pvp a lot myself, but from what I know it's mostly located at west archosaur.
New classes: Earthguard mystic and seeker. Where the mystic has 4 pets, a bunch of flowers and few attack skills, but potentially hits hard as hell.
Seeker is a sword/blade only class, uses melee and metal skills and def levels.
APS is starting to get irrelevant in PvP, in PvE farming it still dominates mostly.
Sins aren't so OP as they used to be anymore, but some will disagree on this, then again someone is bound to disagree with anything.0 -
Thanks !

Depends on what part of it you're asking about for {HT} servers economy? f:ponder
Golds gotten much higher then it was during the {TBs introduction time} but seems to have leveled off for awhile atleast
If you go into NW and get decent token rewards for your time & trouble, you can either sell them for a decent price to other players (though the price for them has dropped drastically since the first 2 or so months of NW) or start stocking up on them to convert them into easy RAPs & CANNYs for gear upgrades at the NW forges in Northern Archo
Fashion prices are still obnoxiously high (and lets not talk about dye costs now a days {Random Dyes alone ~ are as high as specific colours were back B4 the TB's were introduced})
Herbs and mat sales prices at the K'stores are relitively close to the prices that they were back B4 the tidebourne (If you like to farm for mats)
TT's not really a spot to really farm anymore (unless you're really trying to make something for yourself (Costs of TT mats has dropped drastically)
One can still make a decent amount of cash running FF squads for Mid lv's (But most now a days will only level people who've actually leveled enough to have learned their classes first {thank god} but that 1s already cost the game alot in the way of power leveling fail babies)f:horror
As a whole though, its basically a 50/50 issue on the economy, some parts are better & some parts suck alot more then they used too; but on the brighter side of the news, early quests now pay you alot more coin than they used too aswell as some new daily quests that jones has had recently added to his list for (early - mid) level characters, so making coin while questing is alot easier aswell.....f:cute0 -
im oldpop im a cat, lets get together.
anyways if you can make money in this game then your set because your gonna need alot of it and thats not buying gold either,if your gonna rage over 1.4mill-1.5 mill gold then you need to just stay away, why rage over something that really isnt even needed?Rage about gold if it goes lower if your trying to sell it...This game is like washing hair with shampoo... Rinse and repeat if desired.

Only 1.4-1.5kk ?
When I left it was well above 4kk and at one point 10kk.
Lol's idk if they changed anything with DQ drops, but in 1h AoE grinding as a cleric it was possible to make ~1mil.
And after reading the forums I thought it was much more xDb:dirty0 -
DQ below DQ81 are now worth 1 coin, but your spider drops up around Avalanche Village are still worth good coin.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

If there aren't already 5 people there farming them that is.. b:chuckle
(People might also be bots, those are fun to play with.)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
b:cry why they do that
The only epic part of being a cleric past level 60 was the solo AoE grind and moniiez it gave.
b:surrender oh well and here I was like "it will be easy" xDb:dirty0 -
Yes only 1.5 mill money isn't to hard to make for hardcore vets like me lol.my daily spending on my toons is a couple mill a day at least. This game is like washing hair with shampoo... Rinse and repeat if desired.

80+ values are still untouched. As for the sub 80 DQ, they have the bounty order daily from jolly old jones. You get 158k just for picking up your daily orders, without doing anything else. Then you can get 88k per quest (they take a few minutes each to do) that you complete, and you can complete up to 7 quests. They save quite a few hours of grinding imo, allowing you to focus on quests. It's not a perfect fix for the dq nerf that was implemented once again on everyone because of botters in china, but it is a pretty decent one and can get you quite a bit of money. If you're able to do NW on your 60+ as well, you can quite a lot of money that way. More than any of the previous methods of farming in terms of time to coin ratio.0 -
Seing as you're mid-80s, I'd recommend the following:
1. Keep at your BH69s and some FF runs here and there until 90+
2. At 90+, consider adding Cube of Fate to your routine. This will give you 1mil exp per run and a Page of Fate. Those are worth 500k+ on HT right now, which will cover all your financial needs if you're smart with it (herb pots, 90 gears, etc). You don't get the PoF until 90.
3. At 95+ you can enter Morai, the entry quests of which will propel you almost to 96 very quickly. You also get a decent armor set out of the deal, and a matching weapon. Just don't use that gear for PVP. :P
4. After that, just combine FF, BH, Cube and your Morai daily quests to move towards 100. If you're PVE-focused, Morai offers another nice set of armor/weapon for Lv101 you can work towards, which are sold at reasonable prices once you earn them.
It should be noted that Morai weapons are not terribly good for healing, since most of their benefit comes from slaying levels (which is just attack level vs. mobs only). It's never a bad idea to carry more than one weapon, and there's plenty of reasonably-priced options out there which will be fine for anything PVE.
To answer your original question... it sounds like you left at the start of the APS craze and are coming back at its first noticable downturn. Some melee people are making a switch over to DPH-based gear with massive attack levels for PVP... however in the PVE game, twitchy-farming is still alive and well (sadly), just focused on TT now instead of Nirvana. Nirvana is rarely if ever done anymore because Rapture and Uncanny crystals can now be made from Nation War rewards at a very generous rate. As has been said... if you want to do PVP, most people consider Nirvana S3 to be their bread-and-butter gear goals. Then you have Rank 9 S3, which is just plain broken on a scale that no other gear set can match. :-/
NW is a decently-designed PVP system which (in some ways) manages to minimize the effect of gear imbalances between most folks and the R9S3 types. You still want to be 100+ before playing it seriously, but you can go in at your level and probably acheive some rewards regardless. Just be aware that in NW, as with any kind of PVP in this game, you'll have to devote massive amounts of time (and in some cases money) to be competitive. Personally, I prefer playing NW only casually.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Yes, I'm still a stubborn holdout in favor of the old game. Haters gonna hate. ;]
