What ever happened to the In-game Radio?

A recent thread got me wondering, what happened to the old in-game radio?
More importantly would you like to see it back in the game?
Maybe if we pester them enough they'll bring it back, would be more preferable then listening to the music in certain areas of the map. Some of it is honestly good, but others are just.... terrible, or just plain boring. (Yes I know I can just open a music player in the BG, But I don't want to always have YouTube or iTunes running in the BG.)
Oh and another question to get the ball rolling; which BGM is your favorite in the game? (Can be from an earlier version of the game, but not sure how much the BGM has changed since 2008).

Honestly I didn't use the ingame radio much when it first came out... and since I'm normally multitasking I wouldn't really mind either way.
That said I wouldn't be against it either. Especially since I hate the first bit of music that plays in the Sanctuary area. I get what it's supposed to be but... ugh. Whenever I have ingame music on I'll turn it off just for that area. >_>(Insert fancy image here)0 -

:< But I love the music in the Sanctuary area... second only to the newbie TB land. ^__^
But everyone has different tastes, personally I dislike the Arch music, as in, HATE it... and the fact they use it in one or more of the Momaganon areas[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Maybe I wasn't around when it did (or I just never knew how to use it), but I thought the In-game Radio never worked. I remember reading that it was just something we got from CN that works only for them. /o\
EDIT: Now that I think about it, I don't remember that ever working when I tried to use it.Proving that not only archers do math since 2009. b:victory

For now, I'll sit here listening to my game playlist when the music gets too much for me.
I personally don't hate any music in the game, each is kind of special in it's own right. The game version of Fly With Me will always be my favorite, since it's the first song I ever heard in the game and it'll always trigger good memories, along with some of the TT battle music, the TB starter areas, and everything in Morai. (Geeze, first time I went to morai I just flew around raving about the music for about 5 minutes. :T)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I been playing since December 2008, I don't believe it ever worked. Just like the GT function, I don't think that will get implemented for us either.
But in China, there will be live DJ, or guest actor/actress/singer.0 -
didn't it just link to some random outside website that pulled you away from the client once upon a time ago? You can do the same thing now without that button.0

I've been playing PWI on and off since closed/open beta 2008 and I remember I listened to that radio station for 2-3 yrs. (I think thats how long they were up and running..don't quote me on that LOL) I believe it was a link that you clicked on, which lead you to a site, you picked what you wanted to listen to out of a list of different types of music or themes. In that list was a choice for PWI, you clicked PWI and about 4 ppl (may have been more) were there DJ'ing in rotating shifts. The DJ's were also playing in game or were maybe just logged in watching world chat or something. You could go to the in-game chat rooms and find their station, where you could request songs or send out requests...it was really fun actually!!! lol Also if you were looking for in-game squads they would normally announce those as well. It actually kicked tail! lol The station sounded professional, was very funny and was like listening to a live radio station you would normally tune in to back in the good ol'e days....before technology took over that special little part of music history. Just saying it was great!!! Bring it back!!! lol[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
