I was discussing with someone today about how they had always had a charm equipped on at all times. He mentioned something briefly regarding event gold.
I was just wondering
- How do you achieve/attain event gold
- Are there any certain limits/requirements to achieving the event gold?
- What can you do with event gold?
Screenshots/Videos would be helpful :P
All answers are much appreciated, i tried looking for a guide about "Event gold" couldnt find one b:surrender

If you get enough DQ points (50k) you can trade the points for a Demon/Sage card worth 50 event gold
Sometimes when there is a sale on something in Boutique there is offers where you get a demon/sage card too. The same goes with buying Zen/gold tho that don't happen very often.Miss my Avatar b:sad

You can also sometimes get Demon/Sage event cards as a reward for doing well in the Celestial Tigers event, I think.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

When you sell dq items to a npc you get dragon points. get 50k of them and you can get an event card which gives 50 event gold. From the menu at the top of this page goto Communiity->DQ Rewards. If you get the event card and turn it in you can get stuff from the event boutique. Select the o key to bring up boutque click on event button? i thinkMarine - Marshall - Raging Tides - Retired

From selling DQ items that you obtain while farming. It's pretty easy. Just go questing and sell everything you pick up.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Also you can check the items you have vendored in the DQ menu as well - that will give you an idea of what you have been getting for drops that are DQ items.0

It was interesting to see that almost 98% of the DQ points i had were from one single item
" Lv 50 Supply Stash; Cube of Fate "
not sure how i even ended up getting this cant recall was a few years back
24000 points from 47 of these?
Is that the most efficent way? i totally forgot how to get these if someone could refresh my memory b:victory0 -
You get one free supply stash at character creation. Getting a replacement is pretty expensive (you need a bunch of perfect tokens of luck, and those are running over 13k on Raging Tide) so your best bet is grinding on mobs that drop lots of Dragon Quest items (the higher level the better, DQ20 and below give no points, DQ31 give 1, DQ41 gives 5, and then it goes up 5 points per level to a maximum of 35 points per DQ item for the highest level.)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I think what they're referring to is chest of coins.
And yes, that's one of the easier ways to do it as they're worth 500 DQ points each and can be gained fairly easily. However, in many cases, grinding higher level DQs will be more rewarding and has the potential to be done faster (especially during 2x).(Insert fancy image here)0 -

They meant Chest of Coins (they always mess up stuff like that). And probably, like zillions of other people, you took advantage of that deal awhile back that gave free Heroic Chests with every purchase of a small pack of rep badges. The Heroic Chests give Chests of Coins sometimes. I know people that got millions of dragon points this way.
But it isn't the most efficient way. Yes, every Chest of Coins is worth 500 points which is a lot, but they aren't easy to get. Heroic Chests not being available at the moment, they are mostly only acquired in full Rebirth runs.
The easiest way to get points is to find a good mob around your level that drops decent ones (pwdatabase is good for finding this) and grind. Boring, but effective. For higher levels, I always recommend the spider mobs near Avalanche Village. Even though they are below my level they always drop DQs abundantly. (Alternatively, you can do like a few friends of mine do, and find a catshop selling high level DQs at a reasonable price; usually makes one event gold card cost around 6 mil after you factor in the money made back by NPCing the items you purchased. Which is still cheaper than buying platinum charms.)
As far as to what you can get from Event Gold, open the boutique in game and click the Events tab. This takes you to the Event Gold menu. You will see that pretty much everything you can get there is bound.... but still some very handy things. I use the refine aids a lot, myself.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
