Hi,

I was wondering what is better +20 magic attack or +7 to magic, I spend like 50m already and haven't gotten the magic option on ring yet. b:surrender

    Might depend on your build and weapon. Maybe try http://pwcalc.com/ and see which results in better magic attack.

    I'm not an expert so this might not be right, but I would say +20 to magic attack is better.
    At least damage wise.

    7 magic add 7% weapon damage.

    With your typical weapon with shards and ornaments added that will be somewhere around 200.

    20 magic attack will be multiplied by your magic multiplier. With a typical end game build this will also be about 200.

    This makes them about equal. This assumes about 700 magic and a +12 G16 weapon with magic rings and reasonable shards.
    If your weapon is significantly worse, the magic attack gets better. If your magic is significantly lower, the magic gets beter.

    Not that only if it is really "+20 magic attack" they are roughly going to be equal value. If it is maximum magic attack it is of course pretty inferior.

    Also, this ignores the minor added benefit of magic increasing your defences. But that is really minor anyway.
